Thanks Pizzaking & iDreamRunner. I'm hoping to draw a LOT more over the summer (though I'll probably resist flooding this thread with stuff).

So, I posted a the start of a little story I've been playing around with for a while on FimFiction. People seem to think it's pretty okay?... I was thinking about sending it to Equestria Daily to see if I couldn't get a few more people to read it and maybe give me some criticism.
However! If I send it to Equestria Daily, I want to make sure to pair it with some nice cover art. which brings me to my main question for you guys:
Which of these pictures do you think would be better cover for my story?
I think the second one works best.
Thanks! I'll stick with that one, then. I might touch it up a little bit, too...
the second one, mostly because of the use of cool color spectrum, the singular figure standing before a monolith also conveys the sense of foreboding, and insurmountable odds. In addition to that, the sun symbol at the top of the monolith can tell the story has a heavy focus on celestia. Remember, you CAN judge a book by its cover, and cover number two is the winner in my book.
Fear My Strings. Fear them.
Cool! So definitely use the second...
I want to find a way to make it look... better, I suppose. Does this improve on it?
Eh, I like the other one because of the contrast in size between Luna and that structure, and having started reading the story, (I've been so busy it's not even funny) I think it kind of embodies the hopelessness (with the problem being so much bigger than her). But I do like this version, because the hopelessness is conveyed through Luna's expression. Plus, I think the googles will draw people in, cause they'll say "Why does Luna have googles?"
Ya that's odd.
Here's what about an hour of my time earns you guys, especially the Rainbow Dash fans.
So I can't say I have new pony stuff, but it's been so long since I've posted anything, I thought I'd share what's been occupying me art-wise lately:
Life drawing! It's a lot more difficult than digital stuff, but I've been trying to make the transition. These are both 18x24" conte pencil drawings, around 4-5 hours each.
That's pretty awesome. And yeah, life drawing is hard, but I find digital harder for me just because it is an extremely awkward media for somebody who has only ever traditionally sketched.
Looking great spyro!
Here are a few things I've done, but sadly they are really all I have in my portfolio -_-
I did this one like a year and a half ago. Its some Diablo 3 art
I actually never finished this next piece, but it still looks okay. I just got busy and never got back around to it.
And then I literally just finished this piece yesterday.
