The lights are on
Do you like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? You aren't alone, as many others do too. Are you a brony who uses GIO? Then this is the place for you.
Alright bronies, since it would appear that several of us enjoy making pony-related fan art in this group, some of us have decided to make a new thread, separate from the Image or Video Threads, to help facilitate the production of increasingly better fan art thanks to the critiquing and brainstorming of our fellow bronies. this is also where you can request commissions of pony related art, and also submit ideas for future projects.
If you produce fan art, feel free to post your specialties, mediums, commission availability, DeviantArt accounts, etc., and any of your art below. You can also post your pieces in various stages of development, or simply ideas you have for future pieces, and request critiques and/or opinions from your fellow group members.
If you don't produce fan art yourself, but would like to submit ideas for pieces, opinions or critiques of pieces, or commission someone, your more than welcome.
This isn't just for the visual arts either. if you produce music, videos, fan fic, or anything else, post below, it will bring some diversity to the thread.
The rules are self-explanatory and mostly common sense. absolutely no rule 34, nothing of an exceedingly gruesome nature, and nothing overly-offensive. If you cant tell if your work constitutes as any of these, PM it to me and I will give you a definitive yes or no.
Have at it bronies.
PS: We now have our own group on deviantART! http://gio-bronies.deviantart.com/

Okey doky loki, i guess i'll get the ball rollin here. I produce mostly 2D art using traditional mediums like pencil and paper, i don't own much in the way of digital art tools outside of gimp. i specialize more in cartoony styles, not very big on ultra-realistic pieces. I am also adept at clay sculpting, but don't possess much equipment for it, such as a kiln or glaze. commissions are always 100% free, i only ask that i am not given a time limit, as my schedule is constantly changing, but i will never make you wait an unnecessary amount of time for completion.
you can find some of my work at my DeviantArt page: superkingc77.deviantart.com
Think you can draw some Cheerilee pictures for me? There aren't many out there.
Hey, man, you're good. I really like your "Ponylands" pic.
I can't wait to try my hand at drawin' some more ponies! I haven't done much yet, but here's someone you should recognize:

freddie! thats kick-flank!
You just reminded me to finish my "Broni" drawing! Looks like I have something to do tomorrow and/or Tuesday.
@Superking Thanks! ^_^
*cries* Why can everyone draw except for me? I'm so pathetic!
lukedoc, you have to want it, man. You have to work for it, and there are no shortcuts or magic tricks.
And on that note, I'm inspired, and if I can make my scanner work, I'll jump in here. (Stupid linux.) I like drawing pictures, I ARE TEH GRATE COLORER.
"Steve XLII" is basically a sophisticated way of saying "Steve the Forty-Second, Duke of Noodleburg."
Like Luke, I can't draw.... but I do approve of this thread! :D
Could I get a critique on this one, I want to know what I need to improve on, that said, don't hold back.

Fear My Strings. Fear them.
Hmm... The shadow on the tail looks too dark (it makes it look almost like a cardboard cut-out), but that's the only thing that I can see.

Trust me when i say that Gimp is all you need.
i dont have a drawpad or anything though. i can use it to color my scans and such, but i cant draw well with a mouse, so until i get a drawpad, im sticking to traditional.
