The lights are on
Do you like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? You aren't alone, as many others do too. Are you a brony who uses GIO? Then this is the place for you.
Enterplay released its new MLP collectible card game over the weekend. I attended a tournament and found it a surprisingly fun and well-designed card game. Has anyone else given this game a look yet? If so, what colors and mane are you running? What are some of your favorite cards or strategies? Are there any rule aspects you are unclear of? Have you had any lucky rare pulls? If you haven't started playing, do you have any questions about the game?
What card game is it closest to? Is it a simple game mainly for casual fun? Is there depth to it like Yugioh or Magic? Is there a site that explains everything about it, or at least gives a good outline?
Well. I replied, but apparently the site didn't think I did :\ anyways, yes, it is of similar complexity and depth to the early years of yugioh or magic. They brought in designers who worked on Magic, Vanguard, and a few other card games to design it, and they honestly did a great job. Each color (blue, pink, purple, orange, yellow, white: one for each of the mane 6) has it's own strategies and traits, similar to how Magic diversifies its colors. I was honestly blown away by just how much strategic depth, variety, and deck building options were present already.
I read your reply in the email notification, but was wondering why I couldn't see it here on the site.
That actually sounds really fun. I'll have to check out the video you linked me to, and possibly get in on this!
Should I buy some of these cards?
I know I'm thinking about it :P
