    Fruit Basket

    Layers burn away

                                                                                                Harsh Breathing

My skin is falling off and I pray

                                                                                                The intense hunger seething

My legs to my head, I am devoured.

                                                                                                Satisfied chewing.

    I can't think much more I give up, I'm a coward.

Yum! That was a tasty banana!

  • Wrote this for school today.  Kinda meh.

    Unity on the Fly

They can take away our buildings,

throw our economy in the trash,

    demolish our sense of safety,

and leave us confused, in a flash.

They can take away our families,

and our friends, one by one.

They can take wives and husbands,

they can erase a daughter or son.

But one thing that they can’t steal,

no matter how hard they try,

is our undying sense of companionship,

    our “unity on the fly.”

    We’ll unite under one banner,

    of red, white and blue,

to show them they’ll have to try harder,

to break us through and through.

    Obviously, inspired by 9/11

  • Abade:

    How many hours

    Must I wait?

    To see you again,

To share our brief love to dance yet again?

Out times would meet and leave me afire

The coolness of my heart, erased for awhile.

And as we meet in the cool fire

Out lovers dance for all to see

    We embrace in the Twilight

and I weep in the Dark

    Fading back into the void.

    The cold returned

    My heart barley glows

    our audience left in rapture

    Our eternal Abade to see

    How many hours

    Must I wait?

    To see you again,

    The Abade of my Sun.

I decided to use a style that would sound like a song if said aloud. I tried another attempt to do one like this, but it just wouldn't come out to something I liked.

With this poem, I also have a little thing I'll be doing in appreciation. I'll be randomly picking poems to record to. sadly, I cannot do every poem because many of such are more of a visual experience than verbal. I've started off with Cheese's unnamed poem:

I'll either just update this post, or put them in the original post instead of a new post for each one I do.

Why thank you for noticing sir!!!!

  • Here's my poem:

You're a person of many talents, of this I know for sure. When my heart aches of solitude and worry, just you being there is the cure. Your presence illuminates my mind and dissolves all of my troubles.

I may not be the best at keeping things interesting, but of my loyalty I hold truth. My actions may make you think twice about my ability to behave skillfully, but it's merely me being around you that makes me appear uncouth.

Our beginnings are quite unorthodox, this I admit. Poniess had never crossed my mind when it came to commitment. Though you may believe there's not enough to keep us together, I just want you to let you know that my care for you will never be the lesser.

  • This is good man. This is really good.

This is a great poem Nokjaw I'm sure she will love this. I do have a suggestion though. Your first stanza is great, love it. The words flow well when spoken aloud, but the flow is interupted in the second. Keep saying this aloud to try and get the perfect flow that will keep her attention throughout. If you're not already planning to, be sure to read this to her yourself. She'll love you more for that.

Only other suggestion I might have is to find a different word besides "Uncouth". It's a bit dated, and might call too much attention to itself if she has to say it several times in her head.

I wish you the best my friend.

  • Edit: 42 post. This post is the answer to life the universe and everything else..... Now if only we knew the question :P

So, I haven't written anything in a long time. So while I was listening to Monster I came up with some lyrics that need music put to them obviously. Right now I have it as a cross between the riffs of Headstrong and the riffs of Monster by Skillet mixed with some original ideas. Too bad I can't play :P Tell me what you think.

    Die Die Die Die!

Every thought everything I tried to hide

Every hope of the, destruction of my life

Let it all Let it all Let it all die

I want to let go of everything and everyone I know

    Drown it out

    Shut it down

Bring about a change of heart

Can you hear me I'm not listening

Down in my head let the darkness out

Do you feel the smoke of my soul?

Someone take a knife and kill the beast within

I can't control it someone save me from my sin

I want to let go of everything and everyone I know

    Drown it out

    Shut it down

Bring about a change of heart

Can you hear me, I'm not listening.

Sound comes through my ears and the beast wants to go blind from the song

Will you hear what I say even when I don't care?

Why do you listen to me when I want to kill you.

What if I will never change

Will you still try to kill the demon inside of me?

I want to let go of everything and everyone I know

    Drown it out

    Shut it down

Bring about a change of heart

Can you hear me, I'm not listening

Take this bath and drown my soul

The monster in me wants to take over

What if I let it out

    Will you drown the evil

    Will you help me?

Jesus I'm sorry for not listening

    I'm going deaf again

I want to let go of everything and everyone I know

I'm drowning and the beast within is coming out

I tried to shut it down but the power came on

I'm withering away I know you hear me God and I'm still not listening

Please let me listen to you

    Before I go away

Before I'm left with nothing but a monster in my place

  • This suffering and pain brought by our hand
Opens the path which now leads us to a new cherished land
The misty road we now walk is paved with our hate
Wrought with the ghosts of our past, it is our newfound fate

Wind spirits circle above, revelling in our battle
The world we once lingered in dying with an icy cold rattle
So foreign and chilling is the land once lush with a spirit now chaste
Blighted by our fighting it slowly turns into a frozen waste

The other races are merciless, cruel and uncaring
We and we alone were the ones whose spirits were sharing
So we press ever onwards, it's the path we must take
Yet in some small part of our soul our hearts begin to ache

The land we've come to is green, a vibrant paradise
It seems fate has shown kindness with the roll of the dice
With a triumphant shout we jam our flag in the ground
Only to then notice the others were also utopia bound

Fighting resumed, a calling force beyond what nature could bring
A cacophony of voices all arguing causes the valley to ring
The wind spirits hear the call and resume all their howling
Frost begins to return, forward the ice creeps with its prowling

We seek our shelter in a shallow chilly cave
In the presence of our hated we must continue to be brave
The spirits go faster and faster, a hellish whirlwind
And we begin to realize that this might soon be the end

In the face of disaster we look at the enemy
And recognize an ally in the fight to live free
Spirits cling on to desperation in the snowy dark sky
While in the cave below emotion start to thaw with a regretful sigh

Earth, magic, or air ceases to exist
Chill seeps in our bones whilst we realize whats been missed
The darkness closes in, our final cloaking night
And suddenly our hearts burst forward with a cleansing pure light

The hearth-warming spirit causes our bodies to thaw
Acceptance has weakened the magic and the wind spirits call
On that fateful day in the chill us six made a pact
To found a new country together and never look back

Our history was formed on that day many years past
With a bond stronger than time the memory will last

  • This is a response to Robert Frosts the Road Not Taken:

Two Roads did lie before me,

For I was in Frosts fabled woods.

The leaves of amber rustled softly,

    And both roads simply be,

Whilst I, a traveler, let down my hood

    For, both roads beckoned near.

    Each holding their seperate quirks

    One perhaps perused by bear,

    Another yields to heavy wear

And both these roads I did shirk,

Because I was to forge my own path.

I denied both these roads, for I had another

And perhaps I’d invoke the forests wrath

But this path that I would hath,

    Leads me somewhere other.

This new route that I would take

Would be an adventure to have,

For in our life, our choices seem fake

Unless my body would feel ache,

It would prove that destiny you cannot halve.
