The lights are on
This is the place to hang out with Christians who love gaming. If you are a Christian or an open-minded individual I encourage you to join and stay a while.
Christmas is approaching us. This year has gone by super fast. It only seems like yesterday when last Christmas came. I'm a huge Christmas fan! I love being with family, praising God, and just the general atmosphere. Fortunately, I'm done with school until January 2013. I'll be baking, chilling with the family, and finishing up some games. What are your holiday plans? I plan on drinking a bunch of egg nog. I might even try the pumpkin spice stuff seeing that I love pumpkin flavored things. I hope you take the time praising Jesus. Christmas is His day. Thanks for reading! God bless.
Like you I am done with school; just got to deal with one final this time around. Then, I will be playing Max Payne 3 non-stop; what have you. Just deactivated my Facebook acct., idk for how long. Have a merry Christmas; remember to keep Christ in Christmas. For He is the reason for the season, Amen!
I'm a gamer; a lover of music!
This might be a good place to share our Christmas traditions.
Well.. We always make gingerbread cookies. And when we set up out tree, we would always drink egg nog afterwards. We always eat a bunch of different snacks on Christmas Eve. Like cheese balls and crackers etc. Afterwards we would then watch The Christmas Story.
I'll be playing Most Wanted and Arkham City along with a few of games I'll be getting next week for my birthday. Sadly I have school until December 23, so it will be awhile before I can really get the most of them.
Happy Birthday in case I don't drop in before then.
For Christmas, we put out the nativity scene every year. Put stockings around the lights; an electric Santa goes in the window.
As for food, we do a decent spread at my Aunt's house for Christmas, gereens, cornbread, dressing, assorted dessert, mac & cheese, etc. We always have Christmas music playing, Nat King Cole, the oldies, and whatever maybe on the radio; then, we end the night by exchanging gifts.
Sounds awesome, Rich! Hope you have an awesome Birthday, Hammy.
For me, getting my cross necklace done so I can wear it, listen to some christian songs via Pandora radio , and finally, give some games to the people!
I also read chapters of Genesis and Matthew of the bible every year. Just something I do because it is when Christ was born and everything.
i have no idea what i'll do for Christmas tbh
all i want for christmas is my dad to have a good job and everyone to be happy
I don't know what I'm doing this year. My Dad always makes his awesome turkey. But the rest of the day is s mystery!!!
I love surprises...
I do have one tradition, I started for myself, in hopes of passing it on to a family of my own (which most likely will NOT happen). The basic concept is to write a Birthday letter to Jesus, on or around Christmas Eve, wishing Him a happy Birthday, thanking Him for what He has done in my life for the previous year, and asking for grace and protection in the coming year (although this may be a little selfish). I did seal my first letter in an envelope to put on the tree, but since then I just write it as an "open letter" in a notebook. Just a way I can keep Jesus in Christmas.
Christmas trees annoy my ears to death. Not only does it take a lot of time, money, and work to set up and decorate a Christmas trees, but it's also messy. And all it does is just sit there, in the way, watching you, hoarding the presents, and hurting people's eyes with the lights. I mean, that thing could fall over and crush a baby! Christmas trees... I hate them. And to make it worse, it wastes electricity to leave them on. What if one of those little ornaments fell down and broke on the floor! Someone would cut their foot, or slip and smash a lamp, breaking the bulb and setting the house aflame! What's the use of hanging up popcorn and gingerbread cookies on a tree when you could be eating them instead?! Christmas trees... I hate Christmas trees!
