In honesty (if you haven't noticed) Revelations is one of my favorite books in the bible. It's so mysterious and interesting.
Yeah you have to use an imagination too.
Well, I'd venture to say at least some of it is literal (the pit will be opened up, and ''flying scorpions'' will torment man with a sting that is effective for 5 months). My personal favorite book is Genesis; its mysteries are much more abundant, but understandable.
Ehh I always found Genesis the hardest book to comprehend.
Really? I did a Bible study on it and now I'm the master of Genesis! Mwahahahaha
Looks like a need to go back to Genesis.
Indeed I recommend starting with the first chapter btw.. lol
Always start with Genesis, unless you are Benjamin Button
No, start in the middle and then go backwards.
You should actually start with the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John. Then, go to Genesis, then the major/minor prophets, Daniel, Micah, Malachi, Haggai, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc. Then, end with Revelations, just my two cents!
I'm a gamer; a lover of music!
And I was kidding lol.
Rich, I totally disagree. Genesis shows the whole plot: Man had a perfect relationship with God, man destroyed that relationship by becoming imperfect, God realized the problem, and told Eve that He one of her offspring would finally bring God and man back together, and so the whole New Testament continue, with various prophecies of this coming Messiah. Without that back-knowledge of the main problem and the prophecy of Christ coming to save us, the story of Jesus makes practically no sense.
No no no. Start with revelations Then read the gospels Luke Mark John Matthew. And then read Song of Songs. After that read Acts and when you finish it read Psalms. THEN you go to Genesis and go in order with the ones you haven't read after that.
Carson, let's hear some of your masterful Genesis knowledge.... (Warning: this test will define you.)
Where do you want me to begin?
