  • I am looking to make some Christian friends on here, in addition to the other people who I have met on GIO. I have not seen anything all that recent being posted, so I am wondering where you all went. I like to discuss gaming, Christian topics, and pretty much anything else---I am not as one sided as most people assume just because I am a follower and friend of God and Jesus Christ His Son. I am sure that none of you are either, and I encourage you all to let your voices be heard, even if what you have to say may be considered not Politically Correct or even necessarily what you think other Christians believe.

Don't worry about the haters, Jesus said that if the world did not accept Him, they would not accept us either. But I think that just shows how intolerant the people who claim to be accepting and "liberal" free thinking really are. He told us to let our light shine and be the salt of the world. Christ also said that whoever denied Him before man, He would in turn deny before His Father in Heaven. That is a big problem with the Church these days, we worship Him for an hour or two on Sunday, and neglect Him for the rest of the week---in public, if not in the privacy of our homes and cars (and many times even then we are prone to do so, which I admit to being guilty of).  And don't forget what the Apostle Paul told us, "Do not cease to gather together with one another, as some are doing...". In this day and age we have no excuse for not having communication with other believers, even if you don't go to a church on a regular basis. We have our phones, tablets, laptops and even game systems that can connect us together---it doesn't matter if we are face to face anymore, as long as we are reaching out to one another and sharing our love of Christ and for each other.

I would like to hear back from some other Christian believers, and I promise that I will always be here for you to discuss anything, good or bad, happy or sad, heartwarming or heartbreaking. I really do care about others, and I hope to find people who are similar in that regard. For me, helping others is the most rewarding accomplishment that I can do, and I would hope that it is the same way for many of you, because we know that we will have an everlasting reward from God in Heaven when He calls us Home.

So then, if you are a Christian and reading this, or even a person who is interested in Christianity and has not yet made a decision in what you believe, please contact me and/or send me a friend request on here. You can also contact me at the email address listed under my profile information. I do have one request or stipulation that I would appreciate you taking into consideration, though. I am more than happy and willing to talk about my beliefs and world views, and I am open to debatable subject matters and will try my best to explain my stance on things. But, if you are going to contact me with the hopes of frustrating me, trying to ruin my day or life somehow, or just being a troublemaker, you can forget about thinking that is going to happen. I am newer to this website, but not to the world or the internet. I have dealt with many types of abuse throughout my life,     and I am all too familiar with and accustomed to it, from Christians and non-Christians alike. If you want to have your say and you disagree with my beliefs or whatever, I only wish for you to be a rational and respectful human being in your comments. I am tolerant of other people's views, but not of blatant disrespect and idiotic behavior towards me or others. And if you do disagree, please do explain why, instead of hurling insults along with any other forms of verbal abuse. Otherwise, you will look like a foolish child, and I will not respond in return. That is not being hypocritical on my part, but rather common decency for everyone to abide by, no matter what race, religion, philosophy, sexual orientation, handicap, or any other differences between people. I do believe that you should "Live and let Live", nobody has the right to force change upon any other person--for the good or the bad, unless you are a parent trying to teach your children right from wrong and keeping them safe from harm, and even then only up until they are able to start making rational decisions of their own.

So, basically what I am getting at is this.

Let's just play nice with each other please.

Thanks for your time everyone, and I would love to hear from you soon. Have a great day, God bless you, and Happy Gaming!!!

  • No, we're here.  I'm actually one of the moderators of the group.  Welcome to the site and to the Christian Group.  Feel free to send me a friend request or to start a conversation with me whenever you want to.

The activity in the group comes and goes.  There are times when the group seems practically dead.  I became moderator during one of those periods and tried to revitalize the group, but it hasn't worked.

But with a person like you on, it would be nice to see more activity.  I love discussing all sorts of topics outside of the normal debating atmosphere that I'm used to.  I also love talking with like-minded people (a rare opportunity, as far as rational and intelligent discussion goes, where I live).  Look at the forums and blogs that have been posted and feel free to post comments, create forums, begin discussions, etc. etc.

I hope to start talking to you soon.  God bless.

1 Peter 3:15 (NASB): "But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence."

  • While I cannot speak on anyone else's behalf as to why the groups community has dried up, I do have a reason for my absence. Personal health and family health has been rather horrid this year. It's gotten particularly bad the past few months. I pretty much just took a break from all social activities to give myself time to better my health. There is a glaring flaw with what I did. Mainly that it only hurt myself more pulling away from my friends. So I wish to reconnect with my old friends and gain some new ones. James your message was well thought and sincere. It would be an honor to be friends with you. God bless and welcome! ^_^

  • I' here and I've been following the group and it's activities. Personally I prefer to have conversations concerning Christianity face-to-face. It's a lot more effective and allows for a real and intimate conversation that can change lives. If there is ever something that I fell Servant fails to correct I will speak out but that hasn't ever been the case. Servant does an excellent job delivering the right answer when there is one. I'm pleased to know that you are an active Christian and look forward to seeing how you participate in this forum. God bless.

  • I'm still here. Although in the past year my activity on GI has waxed and waned due to a number of personal and business projects, health issues as a result of an extremely difficult pregnancy, and now the birth of my son who is currently in the NICU. I barely blog or play games anymore. However I do check the news, some weeks more frequently than others. And like Alto1st, I'm more of a face-to-face person also. I feel that I communicate better that way. However I'm still here.

  • I shall also pray for your son.

1 Peter 3:15 (NASB): "But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence."

  • i'm here i just hardly talk because I'm horrible at putting my thoughts into words, lol

  • Arkayde, I will also pray for you and your son during this difficult time.

I rarely go on GI to socialize, I mostly frequent here to read trending articles every few days. However, I'm usually socializing on PS4 while playing games a few times a week, or at least I try to go on when I get the free time.

  • I,too, will be praying for you and your son,Arkayde.

  • Thanks guys, I truly appreciate it. His name is Benjamin but will call him Benji since he's a third. There have been a lot of people praying for him and my husband and I have no doubt that it has been working.

  • I'll be praying for you all, Benji, Arkayde, and Eleuthera, for your health, peace of mind, and determination with which to work on your projects.

Personally, I've been really busy with school, a job (Which is now over), church, and just everything else. Even playing video games, while I love it, has taken a huge hit.
