Well I don't know why you're trying to explain the entire Bible to someone that barely know it or doesn't know it at all. That's like my giving you a summary of a really big book but instead of summarizing the book I'm summarizing every chapter. It'll take awhile. I mean if you just pile everything on them at once that would be pretty overwhelming.
Here's the Road to Romans. It's a sort and to the point way of how you should guide your conversation with non-believers that don't know God. It consists of the 4 R's: Realize, Recognize, Repent and Receive. Realize that you are a sinner (Romans 3:10 and 6:23). Recognize Jesus died on the cross (Romans 5:8 and 3:16). Repent of your sins (Rev 3:20). Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior (Acts 3:19).
Summarizes the entire point of the Bible: Jesus is the Son of God. And it is the gospel message which is what all the disciplines used; we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but God sent Jesus, his sinless and perfect son, to pay a debt he did not own so that we may have live eternally in heaven praising Him.
But you seem to have another way you want things to go so I was probably not very useful to your quest.
I'd also like to say that when people go out and witness some people want to hear science to help them understand that God is real and some people just need to hear that they are unconditionally loved by the God who created them. It's good to have a tactful knowledge of both that way one can be a well rounded evangelist.
I'm not, at all, trying to explain the entire Bible. No way I could do that. What I'm trying to do is explain salvation fully. I plan on explaining the reason for Jesus being the Lamb led to sacrifice by describing the fall and the significance of a lamb being sacrificed. Then I'll explain God's two sides: love and judgment. After that, I'll describe ABC and salvation, using all of the previous knowledge as reasons we have to be saved.
Well then it sounds like you know everything you need to. Good luck :)
I still need help here, basic verses that state Jesus's love and compassion as well as salvation directly. I'm dealing with the heavily theological stuff right now.
Thanks. The first part of it is being checked and analyzed by two trusted fellow Christians that I know. Until they get back to me, there's not much I can do.
