Hello and welcome everyone to Damian Snow's Pawn Shop where every Saturday I'll show a new weapon that's come into my pawn shop. The catch? All the weapon's that come in can still be used today.
This week I thought we'd start off with a classic and I also found a picture of this ancient weapon.....yep this week's weapon is the Bow & Arrow!! These have been used for over 64,000 years and are still one the most deadliest weapons ever.
Let me know if you want me to post modern pictures of these weapons or ancient pictures.
Thats Awesome! And I think ancient pictures would be cool.
Looks great. Maybe just keep it as the one pic of the one that comes into your shop instead of adding modern or ancient versions.
Vittoria per gli Assassini!
got it! will do boss, uh I mean mentor.
Pretty cool. got any info on the item itself? (region of origin, age of actual use, etc)
Good suggestion superking.
That's so cool. Ancient Pictures
its called the Holy Flame Bow, and is from Xinjiang, China. The quiver is made of pure leather and the bow itself can shoot almost 400 ft. and thanks for the suggestion superking, from now on I'll have a description of all the items that come in to my shop.
Wow that's pretty cool
alright guys just a couple things I should let you about 1) this thread is the brother thread of "items/weapons of the modern assassin". and 2) this little disclaimer- I do not endorse the use of firearms or any weapons of any sort to be used on another human being or animals besides hunting purposes(as food not sport though)! What I do in a virtual world is not the same that I would in the actual one because there are big differences between the two and I am of a higher functioning enough to know the difference. What I do on this page is simply display my thoughts on what I believe a modern assassin would use and leave them open for discussion/opnions. I find these items through online searches and do reasearch to provide adquate information and a solid opnion on it and therefor have not bought or own any of the fore-mentioned items. I am not sponsored or payed by any of the creators/sellers of these items and mention of them is strictly by my opnion/choice.
that's about it, look forward to next week's it'll be a good one.
Alright everybody sorry this was a bit late but I was busy/forgot. But anyways I thought I'd do another classic this week, and that is..........the Nunchaku!!!! Now this is Chinese Iron Nunchaku that was really hard to get on my part trust me. Anyways, the Nunchaku is said to come from somewhere in Southeast Asia and was used to cut rice/soybeans. Now this weapon wasn't that popular because it wasn't that good against swords. Also commoners in Okinawa were banned from possessing one, only nobles or high ranking officials were.
Now I'm feeling generous so I'm gonna show you the set it came with. Also what's your favorite martial arts movie?
I didn't know they were used for that! And obviously bruce lee- enter the dragon! Lol
Nice one man. I certainly remember Bruce Lee using these weapons
Neat! I never realized that they were used for purposes not martial. Pretty cool history.
