Honestly the magazine formatting is wonderful and have always liked the asthetics of it. It has only improved as opposed to others I used to love like PSM that their format keeps going for the modern look and failing. Then again the team I loved is mostly gone now.. :(
Apart from that, the writing has always complemented a rich discussion based facts and opinions melded into a good review or preview.
The size helps alot to distinguish it from the crowd and helps on the pics!
The monthly premier articles can be done about games I don't care about but it makes me care, by showcasing the uniqueness of it with actual gameplay explanations, and potentials that I wouldn't see unless I played it which is the point of the magazine: find out if I should spend money and time on them in the first place.
The edge card gave me Infamous 2 and I was hooked from then on. I canceled my PTOM and NP subscriptions to read the gold that is GI
Honestly, it was a friend who first introduced me to it and the Edge card. It seemed a worthwhile subscription. You pay for the magazine and earn discounts on games...win-win.
As far as the magazine goes, it was the hook-up with GameStop and the convenience of game reviews and news in my mailbox. I used to love the little editorial notes on the editor page which said what everyone was playing now and gave a little peek into office antics, but those are gone now. :(
My parents got me a two year subsription as a gift in early 2007. Since then ive been a rabid reader. This magazine has truly turned me into a hardcore gamer.
I got a little paper in GameInformer magazine, and tried out this website. It was confusing at first, so I didn't go to it. About a month later, I said "I'll try out GameInformer again, If I don't like It, I won't go." And here I am.

I went to Game Stop to buy Oblivion lsst year and they asked if i wanted a year of GameInformer, I said yes.
Greetings everybody! I thought I should join too.
When the first teaser trailer of TES5: Skyrim was released, I got a hint that more of the coverage will be released in GameInformer Online. So I checked the site. At first, it was just a news site for me, but when I discovered the community's blog section here, I really fell in love with this site. And then I made an account (In January or February 2011) and been blogging here ever since (writing a book/story also).
I do a lot of news searches for specific games/PS3 on Yahoo! News and Google News. Game Informer blogs came up consistently in these searches and I became intrigued by some of the things I've read. I decided that joining myself might be something I would be interested in, so I am giving it a shot now.
When I got my Xbox 360, I got the subscription for Game Informer. I've been hooked since then. It's the only gaming magazine i read regularly and the only one im subscribed to. The cover art is incredible and I love the staff as if i personally knew each of then (thanks Twitter!) I just decided to join the site so i can get to know other readers better.
It was delivered to my doorstep...
A couple of years ago, my neighbor randomly decided to give me over 20 issues of his Gameinformer magazines because he thought that I would enjoy them. After looking through some of them, I decided to personally subscribe because I wanted to catch up and see if I would enjoy the more current issues. Obviously, I have. Also, through those magazines, I found out about the official website. Ever since then I've been thoroughly enjoying my monthly magazines and this awesome community.
It was just too beautiful to pass up! Lol, Well I had read the magazines at a friends house and then I found there website. I finally decided to make an account, and then... It all started. And best of all! I love it!
Hey, you're back!!!
Well to be honest I got it from a friend. We brought my friend to a road trip and he brought a couple of your magazines. He told me to subscribe, and I did. I still have my first magazine. It had Wolfenstein on the cover. I have been a proud member of Gameinformer ever since.
Wait? Im back? What? Lol or where you talking to someone else?
