Needs photoshop skill? Did I hear someone call my name?
If you wanna send me a detailed message of what you're looking for, I can let you know if I can do it and an estimated turnaround time. But I do use photoshop quite a bit so I can probably help....
Also... as to the nominate yourself or nominate others question... If this "takes off" and ends up being a massive list of users, it really won't end up meaning anything for anyone. Get a "spotlight" page too big, and no one is really spotlit anymore.
Plus, the idea of getting an e-mail update every time someone says "add me too" doesn't sound that appetizing. On that note, I'm going to conserve e-mails (writing everything in 1 reply) and ask if you'll add me too, haha.
If you/we expect this will stay somewhat small, like a dozen or so names, then it could work and be cool. But if it ends up growing to like 50 names, then its' too large a pool to really highlight or focus on anyone in the end, if you ask me.
I actually have all the photoshop done that I needed, but if something comes up and I need more I'll be sure to consider you.
As far as that again though, this isn't supposed to be something to highlight the best users, it's supposed to highlight all users. Between Saint's Blog Herding and my Community Update the best blogs by the best users will almost be guaranteed to be shown off on a weekly basis.
As far as the e-mail thing goes in all honesty I don't mind., I like being able to take a look and see who is excited about this, who is doing what, and everything else that about these people that allows me to really show what it is I love about this community.
And if the list gets to 50 people then all the better. It means that there are 50 awesome bloggers on this site and I hope that this forum can bring the together to create some truly great blogs.
So, I have a question for the Writer's Guild that has been on my mind for a while. Most of my blogs seem to get an average amount of views, which I am happy with (not to say that more views aren't appreciated, of course), but I have been really baffled by my Casting the Games: Simon & Lewis blog. It has a ridiculous amount of views that keeps on increasing and I really can't figure out why. Why are there so many? I'm not complaining, just.... confused.
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.Push off, and sitting well in order smiteThe sounding furrows; for my purpose holdsTo sail beyond the sunset, and the bathsOf all the western stars, until I die.
Could be that it got picked up somewhere. Take a look at your blog stats and you can check out where the majority of people came from. Sometimes you get picked up by google (or images).
Sounds like my SC2 blogs. Every one of them gets at least 700 views somehow.
I don't normally like to nominate myself for things like this, but seeing as how I'm trying to be an active member of the community here, I guess I'd like to be on the list as well.
I humbly ask for my own participation in this list, if I'm worthy.
I added you to it Adrian, and sorry for not noticing sooner shadow. Caught me in a bad time it would seem
Hey. The Squall blog made me wanna investigate the WG a little bit. I'd like to be on this list if its alright.
I don't images too much... when I write, I stick to simple words. If its a requirement though, I'll do as I must.

Hey, I am very interested as well about the Weekly Challenges.
Jolt: that's fine. I'll do a weekly challenge regarding images in a bit, just to help some of the newer people out that maybe don't know how to use images for their blogs correctly. Did you want to be added to the list?
Glasses: Well I brought it back for a reason. check out the most recent one to see what it is all about (though you seem to have already)
Sure. I know how to do images just fine, I just don't. It's just a preference... nothing that can't be changed.
Well blogs without images are rarely looked at by a lot of people. Not to mention your content has to be a lot better than those that use images because there is nothing to break it up. But that's just how I've seen it.
At my job I write the articles, and someone else adds the pictures later. So its just what I'm used to. I understand where you are coming from though.
I too would like to be on this list if I prove worthy. Most of my stuff is more short stories though. (I do plan to do book reviews and more general commentary as well.)
I'd like to nominate myself if you think I'd fit in well with the group. I know that I've been slamming the front page with my 30/30 but I personally think I'm improving overall as a writer and that my passion for writing is growing by the day.
