Can you tell me why the video player used on this site is so inconsistent? I generally have to reload a page containing the article I'm reading to be able to view any videos that maybe be on the page of said article, otherwise if i press play a black screen where the video should be stares back at me.
I have no problems going to youtube to find gameinformer video to view, in fact I have your youtube channel open on another tab just so i can easily go there to find the video of the example of whatever was written about in an article so i can view it with less hassle.
Isn't the point of referencing a video or having a video of a game on the web page containing the written article suppose to add value to what is written? Not to cause frustration and drive the user to another web service (away from gameinformers own webpage) that makes it easier to view?
I try and watch every video on low on the gameinformer video player in hope that it will work, and occasional it does.
Other than that awesome site, love the content and keep it up.
Hello IT, just came in to report that there's now a bug concerning users who've been banned that still allows them to comment and send convos to other users. I've experienced this with a couple already.

I am not sure if this is a bug or the review was not put up correctly but if you look up "A Valley Without Wind 2" in the review section of the site. The title for the article is Europa Universalis IV. The review is clearly for A Valley Without Wind 2.
Okay, so your video player has randomly decided to start pillarboxing itself on me today. Yesterday, everything was fine. Now, it does this. This was a screenshot from the TMNT test chamber today. Normally it will immediately start playing when I select the play button. But now there's a delay of several seconds wherein the left and right sides of the video player will go black.
And here's what it looks like full screen:
Also, the videos on some pages are being replaced with ads. I was attempting to watch an old replay (Brave Fencer Musashi) and instead of the correct video, there is an ad for DoA5. So, that's weird. The audio from the original video still plays, but the video has been replaced. If I go full screen I can see most of the original video, but there is the ad in the upper left corner that does not go away, blocking a fourth of the screen. Very annoying, and makes them unwatchable. Thanks.
I wrote a review of Killer Is Dead, and it has five comments on it, but I can't see any of the comments. It's been not displaying comments for a few days. Has anyone else had this issue?
I see that alot. Many times when I see those they're usually spam. But this is something to take note of if regular users are in fact trying to comment on reviews.
I can log on to the site with the temporary password sent in my email, but I cannot update the password to a new one. I keep getting the error message Password Update Failed, try again.
Excuse me; I've been having a minor issue regarding the site's user review feature. Whenever I visit a review page and check the user review sidebar, I don't see the "write user review' link. I decided that maybe I was just looking in the wrong area, and went to the site help page to check. It turned out I was not, in fact, looking in the wrong area, so I figured maybe low ranking users simply weren't allowed to post reviews. This didn't hold up, either, as I discovered after a brief examination of the site's point system. I then dismissed it as a temporary issue, figuring it might be a temporary glitch in the system, but it's been at least a month now, and I'm still not seeing that link. I've tried using different browsers: I primarily use Google Chrome, but attempted using Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox to fix the issue, but to no avail. I've even tried using my other computer, but even that didn't work, so it's become clear that this is either an issue with account clearance, or my own perception. Am I missing something? Was there a certain requirement that had to be met before a user could post his or her own review that I somehow overlooked? Or is it just a site bug? I'd be grateful for any advice on the issue.
Never mind, I figured out what the issue was.
Hey Joey, et al, just a heads up in case you were unaware but it appears that comments aren't showing up in blogs. At least in mine and a few other recent posts (including those posted prior to the update) I can't see any comments, and that's checking via phone and PC (Chrome). When I check in Advanced Editor I can see the comments to my latest blog, but not on the actual blog page. Just FYI. Hoping the update went well in general. ; )

FYI, experiencing same issue as Kyle. I can see comments on official news and blogs, but none show up on any user blogs.
