The lights are on
Please bear with us as we have launched in beta so you may notice a bug or two. The best thing you can do is let us know right here in the Site Feedback Forum. Have a question or comment regarding the new site? This is your place.
np. Let me know if you're still having the problem as time goes on. We upgraded our database hardware this morning and we're also seeing that the settings page doesn't load at all anymore so I'm watching out of weird things to see if there's a systemic problem.
I am glad that the staff has noticed the loading issues. I have been experiencing these loading issues as well. My computer is running Windows 7 (With the aero background), and I am using the latest version of Google Chrome. When I click on my username so I can go to my profile, the website takes forever to load. This is the same thing with other pages like when I go to the Nintendo forum and when I try to open a blog in the blogs page. Also, I have tried loading these pages in the latest version of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, and the website still won't load the pages like it usually did.
Please fix these issues, Gameinformer.

We're researching the problem. It doesn't have anything to do with what browser you're using. We'll know more around 3PM CST.
Some videos, like episode 12 of the Megaman Legends Super Replay, send me to a message ID 31 page that states, "You do not have permissions to perform the requested action. You may not have accumulated enough points to be allowed to perform this action." Have you guys changed your video viewing policy or is it just part of the recent mass slowing that has occurred?
Oops, I see others have already written similar things. My apologies!
Reposted from this thread: http://www.gameinformer.com/membergroups/game_informer/site_feedback/f/258/t/237152.aspx - (apologies if this has been iterated elsewhere in the thread, but successly navigating the site in order to check prior comments remains untenable)
"I've only just joined the community recently so I have no comparison as to former site functionality, but I find I'm experiencing a large number of gateway timeouts (randomly distibuted across many pages) - definitely a huge disincentive for continued patronage." (Windows7 - 64-bit)
Additionally, under a Linux OS I was experiencing cookie-related issues whereby if I chose to go "back" a page, I'd find myself signed out and would be required to sign in again.
EDIT: Just had another timeout trying to access this page - http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/05/26/upcoming-comic-book-quot-sheds-light-quot-on-assassin-39-s-creed-iii.aspx - here is feed back:

Experiancing slow connections on Firefox.
Me too. It's hit or miss for me with any article on the website for the past several days. The weird thing is that some articles that worked fine for me before are now no longer connecting.
Thanks guys for the details. We're experiencing the same behavior and have been researching to find the problem. We have yet to find the cause. However, it seems like the issues are no longer occurring. Are ya'll still seeing this type of behavior?
@Joey Guerra
Certainly an improvement.
Although posting is still problematic. :?
By problematic, do you mean it sucks?

lol - no I mean it may take a couple of attempts for the "Reply" button to register interaction, or after submission the page goes blank and hangs on loading.
I cannot change any of my site options settings. The server always times out.
The review archive is stuck on "Loading...please wait". It did this like 5-6 months ago too if I remember correctly.
EDIT: Well now it's just a blank place and isn't loading anything at all.
I can't change the quality of videos on the site. The box where you change quality to HIGH MED or LOW just says "Quality" and won't let me change it.
If you post it, they will troll.
