The lights are on
Please bear with us as we have launched in beta so you may notice a bug or two. The best thing you can do is let us know right here in the Site Feedback Forum. Have a question or comment regarding the new site? This is your place.
Consider this the official "coming soon" thread for updates to the site!
Let's start off with what you can expect out of our next release (tentatively scheduled for before E3 2010).
These may change drastically before we release, and we may end up pushing this release until even later (so that we can be sure the site will be fine during E3). I'm imagining that we'll also have updates that may be added to this list, if we can complete these items ahead of schedule.

I'm sure that's exactly why he is teasing us with it.
Can't wait to see what's in store!
*Super secret awesome new feature for you and your friends* interest peaked.
Quoting comments should be cool, and having a new way of sorting comments should be cool as well. Thanks for doing this, Sean, it'll be nice to get updates on what you and the staff are doing to improve the site. Keep up the good work!
As soon as it is tested and ready to be released, I'll definitely let you guys know a LOT more about the secret item.
Gameinformer IMing??
You heard it here first!
<MosPhat>: Gameinformer IMing?? You heard it here first!
No, you heard it in the link in my sig first... granted it's unofficial but that's exactly what it is...
Nobody uses that though.
UPDATE: Finished the initial theming for the mobile site with Nick today. It is a mobile site, so we're not going to win any awards or anything, but it is definitely going to be nice to be able to easily view the site content from my phone.
QUESTION TO THE COMMUNITY: What would you like to see in a mobile-friendly version of our site? What would you be OK with losing?

Hmmm, well the forums may not be really needed, seeing as how it'll be hard to type with a phone. I'd also be ok with losing guides and blogs probably, but I'd like to keep editor and user reviews as well as the home page articles and stuff. Also, I'd definitely like the search box so I can quickly find the review or article I want on the go.
I wouldn't mind loosing blogs and guides. But I would like to see forums stay.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'd prefer it if you could just visit the main page and read stories. No extra stuff, when I'm out I just wanna check news real quick without a hassle. Maybe add some kind of thing where you can login and send messages to other users. That way you can communicate somehow.
A mobile variation of the site would be awesome (since the full site won't load on my phone due to its memory size), and I'd love to be able to sort comments (I hate seeing the same comments all the time at the top of the list, and it basically becomes a competition to be among the first twenty posters).
Good job.
