I saw green lantern first flight (AKA horrible atempt to find new fans and make money off of current fans) Recently on dvd and i found it a horrible adaptation of hal jordans origin. I mean come on the writtiing sucked, I hated the art direction (espesialy Killowog) and voice acting was just uninspired (I hated all the butchering off killowog) And come on! This had so many flaws it makes me very very very worried for the live action version!
I kind of liked First Flight. I will admit, it had some major flaws and the plot was pretty bad, but I actually enjoyed it. As for the new, live-action movie: I still think Ryan Reynolds is a terrible decision to portray Hal Jordan. Reynolds is a comedic actor, and his serious roles have been pretty....... bad........ to put it mildly. However, I think that Martin Campbell made a good decision on Sinestro. He wants to cast Martin Strong, who is a great actor and is usually the bad guy in his films, and to top it off, looks like Sinestro. Read the article here.
Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words:
"With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my
curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-Man.
I know ive read about that but i just don't like when sinestro gets his yellow ring like 5 days after hal joins the core which seems like is goin to happen in the live action, i know they need to introduce an arch villian, which if sinestro dies i'm gonna be mad, but he should just be when he is corrupt before he gets his yellow ring after being exiled.
you know what would be weird? if all the presidents came back with black rings!
I agree on the whole Ryan Reynolds not being the right choice...especially since he is also cast as Deadpool for the freaking Deadpool movie! One person can not be both Hal Jordan and Deadpool (though not that I think about it, a crossover with GL and DP would be hilarious).
Stupid Ryan Reynolds...
I think Bradley Cooper would be a perfect Hal Jordan. He's from The Hangover, in which he showed he can be a serious actor but still maintain a comedic side, which I feel is the right Hal Jordan.
As for Sinestro, they BETTER not kill him, because that would end the entire series of movies right there. Sinestro must live to create the Sinestro Corps and be a part of the inevitable Blackest Night movie.
I saw this, and though you guys might want to know. I don't know how I really feel about Reynolds being 'confirmed' as the Green Lantern, but whatever. At last Martin Strong is playing Sinestro.
There was some talk about Jackie Earl Haley to play Sinestro but I think it fell through. He played a great Rorschach in Watchmen. He really gets into character. I think the could have given a good psycho feel to Sinestro
I heard something recently about Jackie Earl Haley as a possible candidate for something, but I can't quite remember what it was. If I remember or find it, I'll let you know.
Nevermind. I found it. Check this out!
For those of you who opted out of the trailer, Jackie Earl Haley, the man who played Rorschach in the recent Watchmen movie, is taking the helm in Samuel Bayer's remake of Wes Craven's horror classic, The Nightmare on Elm Street. Haley is playing the new Freddie Krueger, in place of the original actor Robert Englund. I think Englund did a spectacular job as Freddie in every movie he played, but Haley has that dark and sinister vibe to him that makes him a good Dream-Realm Killer in my mind. I know I am looking forward to it.
I know i really want to see it. After watching the trailer you cant tell me that he wouldnt have made a good Sinestro
