Yeah, I'll be getting it next week. I bought the Mad TV variant from tfaw.
My pull list
Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit.
Hey Queso what does tfaw stand for and did you find the Mad TV variant funny?
@Bony4D: Ah yes. Sorry about that. tfaw is short for the website Things From Another World, and while I've yet to receive the variant the preview picture is funny so I hope it is in person.
in issue #4, I like how Geoff Johns managed to incorporate the invisible jet into the new 52 continuity in a way that made modern sense (somewhat). *spoilers* that was also quite the unexpected death scene at the end, though I'm pretty sure it wasn't real.
Yes the invisible jet was awesome and the foreshadowing of a certain character's death was really good and I hope it wasn't real.
*spoilers* she still has her ongoing series, so I'm going to assume it wasn't.
Well, Johns' run on the series is done now. Anyone get issue #8?
Yeah but I haven't read the whole thing. Seems good.
Transition Discussion: Now that Forever Evil is behind us (good Lord that event seemed to run FOREVER...hahaha, but seriously...) and JL:A has transitioned to Justice League: United, what's everyone's thoughts so far? I've gotten the first two issues (#0, #1) and am digging it so far, but what is everyone most looking forward to with the new United team? I'm personally hoping they can incorporate more of an "international" feel with the JL...it's been tried before, but bring us a larger scope of affected governments, superheroes...I'm rambling a bit, but the JL seems mostly confined to U.S. or far off fantasy places...
I haven't even finished Forever Evil, sadly. I picked up #0 of JLU but have yet to read it. It really seems interesting though. Based purely on solicitations and the little of what I've seen / read, Geoff John's seems to be taking JL in a new, more grounded direction after FE. So maybe JLU will feauture the more action-fantasy focused stories from now on. Just a prediction. My one hope for the series, whether I read it or not, is that it doesn't drop in quality. after the first arc like JLA did. Hopefully it keeps, and builds on, it's momentum.
