Seeing as we don't really have a proper thread for this and in a desperate attempt to get this group talking about stuff, new superman movie, made by Scott Snyder and Produced along with a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. I'm going to keep things nice in this post and drown out my doubts about Mr. Goyer and Mr. Nolan as competent filmmakers/Storytellers and after Sucker Punch my not entirely trusting feelings towards Snyder's skills and focus on facts: there was recently a new trailer released, did you see it? what are your thoughts or feelings of the trailer? etc.

Yeah, this group has been dead for a long time. I liked the trailer, it looks interesting.
Peaceful Days died, Let's Survive
It looks like a more humble approach to the character which is always good and the casting looks pretty great
I think the casting is brilliant. Especially Michael Shannon as Zod. Personally, I like the direction that DC is going with their cinematic universe. It feels more real than the Marvel one, that is not to say the marvel one isn't amazing. I think that if DC tried the same approach as Marvel it would come across as cheesy and not believable, like many of the DC movies that preceded Christopher Nolan's fingerprint. (Batman sequels, green lantern, other superman movie, which i admittedly never saw)
@Chaos, I am interested to hear your complaints about Goyer, nolan and snyder.
We'll be here for days if I even get started, suffice to say I feel that the Nolan bat films lacked true substance, goyer directed blade trinity which was awful and Snyder made sucker punch which is about as hollow you can get in movies
@Chaos: Thanks for starting this thread! I am looking forward to this but I didn't watch the whole thing as it seemed to be showing too much of the movie (nothing new there). I do expect this to be a solid movie, but am still hesitant with my expectations.
My pull list
Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit.
I'll give you solid, I mean as much as I love to eviscerate Nolan's films they all work as decent entertainment provided you shut parts of your brain off and Snyder's done good work on other comic book films
@Chaos: I'll take solid and I agree with you.
They had an early screening and I heard there were a lot of positive things said about it.
@Cameron: That does bolster hope a little.
