The lights are on

Well, there's another Spider-book coming out, Superior Carnage (it's a miniseries thankfully). How long until we get Superior Venom? Or Superior Scarlet Spider? (how good is Venom and Scarlet Spider anyway, worth checking out?).
Yeah, that twist at the end of #3 was shocking, but I really think it should ended with #4's revelation in addition. Age of Ultron is going by slowly, hoping it picks up in the second half. They need to hurry up and get the rest of Ultron's 'family' involved (Hank, Jan, Victor). There's no way all of the deaths in AoU won't be undone by the end of it.
On the oversaturation, I think some Avengers books could've gone under different titles. Avengers Arena isn't even focused on Avengers characters solely, further driving in it's money making purpose. Secret Avengers was stated by the author to read like a SHIELD book, so I don't see why it couldn't be called SHEILD instead. Of course, there's also the problem of supporting all of the series anyway. I'm worried Journey Into Mystery is going to get canceled, I'm a fan of mythology based stories, but the other series make it hard to keep track of it.
The news of a phase two for Marvel NOW is getting me thinking about new titles I hope are made, despite the oversaturation ensuring I'll have a hard time following them all. I want an Avengers team consisting of mythological and magical characters as a foil to Avengers A.I. Also, Power Pack ongoing, or else. Actually, more books focused on the kid heroes in general. Considering the Inhumans are going to play a big role in Infinity, maybe an Inhumans based story. They seem interesting from what I've seen in FF and NA.
Peaceful Days died, Let's Survive
the venom issues by Rick Remender are phenomenal IMO I don't really care for the current creative team though, and some people really like Scarlet spider, I'm not one of them, I think there was a discussion about the two books awhile back in another thread
"If you really loved me you'd all kill yourselves right now" -Spider Jerusalem
I checked, pages 10 and 11 of this thread have me and Steve "arguing" about the two books
Oddly enough, I actually remember that debate. Mainly that you thought Remender had a better Venom and Scarlet Spider was gimmicky, I was surprised at how well I remembered those two pictures from Venom and Scarlet Spider. I'll pick up the trade for Remender's run on Venom sometime (after I get all of Gillen's run on Journey Into Mystery).
So I figured with some of the changes coming to Marvel after AoU my new comic purchase would be at home here. I was at my LCS today and come across Angela #1 from Image comics. Since she will be gracing the pages of Marvel I am hoping that this speculative purchase will pay off in the long run. (for some reason it it sideways, ugh.)
spawn 9 is actually already worth more than it was months ago, which I find profoundly stupid
I take it that that is her first appearance. It is stupid, unless you own that issue, then it is kinda cool.
I never read spawn, so this was an impulse purchase. Do we know anything about how Angela will appear in the Marvel universe?
@FAMESREVENGE@Chaos: Ah, first appearances. Too bad I suck at speculating.
My pull list
Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit.
bleeding cool usually has some pretty solid tips and rumors, they were actually dead on that Spawn 9 would see a price increase.
Also I have no idea how she'll show up but I'm hoping it'll just be a last panel of everyone posing or whatever superheros do and she'll just be like "sup?" In all honesty though it'll probably have something to do with alternate dimensions, they pulled a similar thing when Invincible teamed up with Spider-man but that was much more low key
Spider-Man 2099 is coming back in SSM #17!
@Chaos: Yeah, I just don't visit that site very often but see it referenced a good bit.
@Cameron: Wow! I haven't read one of those in a looong time. Interesting.
Wow, I'm not excited for 2099 at all, and I bought shattered dimensions just to play as Miguel, granted both that game and this issue are written by slott (unless superior is being written by Peter David for some reason) Slott kinda used up whatever goodwill 2099 Spidey would afford him in my book, I know people like him but to me his tenure on the book represents too much of what's wrong with comic book storytelling (mainly the idea of reusing old plots and characters and tweaking them somewhat) ok, I'm done being a grouch for now
@Chaos: I played that game and liked it, but not enough to keep it. I traded it in the same year it came out but have stopped doing now because of the negative impact of used games on the industry (blah blah blah). Didn't read Slotts's run but your grumpy input is good and valid. :-) It's where creators go wrong where both they/we can learn the most.
Yes, well, it's probably just going to make a new spin-off series for Marvel to cash in on.
Anyone else annoyed by Marvel saying "your gonna be mad at (insert writer) after this one" or "it's gonna leave you madder than ASM #700". I don't want writers to make me mad, I want GOOD stories that make me entertained.
