Correction to my first post: *Marvel chacters
lol...Correction to that post: characters
So when I was reading Deadpool #1 I found saying, "Huh?" fairly often. I feel like they threw a bit too much into one issue. I am not familiar with the guy who was raising the dead, but it would have been cool to get some background on him. I'm not sure how I feel abou tthe random Thor and Cap appearances, I certainly don't want Deadpool to live in a vacuum but I also dont want team-ups...or non-team-ups if you trust Thor's side of the story, to be half assed.
deadpool is a ridiculous character who operates outside the mainstream marvel universe, he's usually in it for himself and I felt that came across nicely in this issue, I thought the dead presidents angle was hilarious and suitably ridiculous to the character as well as the political reasons for shield choosing deadpool to combat them. It's also worth noting that the co writer for the series is comedian brian posehn, which was why I bought it, also to my knowledge the guy raising the dead was just some random guy

I liked it a ton, just felt it was a little off.
@ C3: Yeah, while I did like it it felt off for me. That being said, I haven't actually followed anything Deadpool except for his brief time on Uncanny X-Force. The letter "from Deadpool" at the end was a nice touch and it'll be interesting to see which letters are published in the fanmail section.
@ Chaos: I also bought it because Posehn co-wrote it.
My pull list
Vae Victis.
Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit.
debut issues don't always hit their mark, there was enough there to warrant a purchase at the very least, hopefully the writing team just needs some time to grow
@Queso: yeah I also like that they added a fanmail section, those are fun.
wouldn't be a deadpool comic without one
Well, I got IM #1 and it turned out to be a great start for a Post AvX Tony. I wanna know more about this new suit. I call it the Liquid Model Armor.
Connection Is Power
@Cameron: Yeah, it's a misstep, in my opinion, that DC's don't have it as part of their books, at least the lot I read. They're a great way to "end" a comic.
@Mr. Exclusive: It reminded me of the T-1000.
@Queso:Yeah, I would definitley like to see that in DC comics
What's your top 5 NOW! titles? Mine: IM, Avengers, Nova, Young Avengers, Cable & X-Force.
