I've been thinkin' about my "owl/vampire guy" (this was before I read American Vampire, btw) and I think I might maybe just ditch the whole Owl thing and just make him a full on vampire that has a whole set of powers that are all just part of his "true form", a bat/man-like creature. Ex: one power would be enhanced smelling and his nose would form into a bat-like nose that could be reverted at will, bat wings that would popped out at will, and he could ultimately change all the way into his true form and have his whole power set active at once.
Ignore the little gray smudge, I had to block out the company name
@Cameron: Looks like Hebrew there.
As I've been unemployed for some time I've started writing more regularly so I thought it'd be cool to share some of the resources that have been helpful for me. First off, there is some general writing help from ehow (cue the boos and hisses) that can be found here. Next, are sample scripts from Nat Gertler, DC's Animal Man (there are a number of example script pages that can be found on the site), and generic script/formatting guide from Dark Horse. I hope these can help out all of us aspiring comic writers. :-)
My pull list
Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit.
Thanks for the writing links Queso :) on the other side of things, I'll probably start posting sketches of my ideas because I've recently upgraded to a device that lets bebdo so.
* me do so
@Cameron: No problem and best of luck to you. We look forward to seeing your stuff. If you're ever interested in sending Dark Horse some of your original work the submission guidelines can be found here. Here are Image's guidelines as well, though they're not as well-organized as DH's.
@Cameron: Love the SouthPark reference and The Black Mirror was a good story. Looks like some good additions to your portfolio.
@Skulldugger: Lol! A guy who carries around a diamond sword should probably also have a safety torch. Is that his assistant down there at the bottom?
Lol yeah, it's Gryphon, his dog (named after the World of Warcraft spelling of griffin). It's based on this video: m.youtube.com/watch
