Has anyone here actually enjoyed any of the more recent Spider-Man games? I am referring to the movie based games, Web of Shadows and Friend or Foe. I myself liked the Spider-Man 3 game and played it all the way through, and thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular story line of Web of Shadows, despite it's slow start. I haven't played Friend or Foe, though I plan on getting my hands on a copy. So has anyone besides me really enjoyed these games, or am I all alone in this?
Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words:
"With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my
curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-Man.
What up Gregg. I thought Spider-Man: Friend or Foe was too kid oriented for me. I beat it then returned it to gamestop for another game. Web of Shadows was too long and too repetitive! It took forever to beat and it the game play was just not up to par and the story was weak. Good graphics though. Spider-Man 2 and 3 were both excellent games. I truly enjoyed those. I'm waiting for a game like Uncharted 2 that is Spider-Man oriented. Great forum question Gregg! Keep them coming buddy!
I agree that Web of Shadows was very long, and even more repetitive. The first two acts took forever and were quite redundant. However, the third act and ending were stellar. I think the story was pretty good, and it touched lightly into an old story arc from Spider-Man's Planet of the Symbiotes series during the Bronze Age of comics. I loved the game and though that despite it's repitition, was the best Spider-Man game on modern consoles. I also enjoyed Spider-Man 2, but the third was better in my opinion. Unfortunately, I have not played Uncharted, as I am an Xbox fan, but from what I heard, a Spider-Man game with the mechanics of Uncharted would be great. It's glad to hear that there are others who actually liked the Spidey games other than myself.
And as for forum questions, check out my others.
I rented Spider-Man: Friend or Foe earlier today and it's actually not a bad game. It is definitely geared more towards children, but it's overall a decent game. I pretty much expected it to suck.....
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe was not as bad a Iron Man was, that was hell.
