The lights are on
Maybe you can't read Japanese, but you don't have to in order to appreciate anime or to hang out here. Talk with others about your favorite manga, movies, and artists.
This year, Shinichiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop fame will be directing Sakamichi no Apollon. His first series since Samurai Champloo.
Though sadly it's not as much of an action series it seems, but a coming of age story set in the 60s centered around jazz.
But given his former work, I'm more than willing to give something a bit more artsy a shot. And it's a given that atleast in the audio department, this thing is going to epic.
Any big Bebop fans out there?

I hope he hasn't lost his touch, i loved Cowboy Bebop :D btw somehow i haven't seen Samurai Champloo yet, thanks for reminding me!
nor do i :D im looking forward to it
Well, maybe we should leverage our expectations a bit. For one, unlike Champloo or Bebop, this is a mange adaption. An award winning manga, but none the less you can expect a significantly different style. I'll see if I find any info on it.
True i wonder what music style it will have.
Jazz, so we can expect it to be bebop like in that respect. No news on whether the seatbelts are coming back, but Cowboy Bebop's composer is on staff. All this from the wiki.
bebop made my love of jazz grow
Bebop made my hate of Jazz diminish.
hnnnnnnnnn!!!!!
Here's the trailer, as you can see, different. The beat is promising though.
seems like its going to have some nice beats in it.
