Who else is a big fan of this one? I like it, but I hate what they did in ep 8. Still you have to admit this show has some of the best action sequences ever created.

I think it is one of the best animes. I used to have my hero image be the Big mutli verse gurren lagaan. I can't remeber if ep. 8 is where a character i liked died or not

most did die in the series.

yeah they did, but not till the end of the anime. and i still wish it would have ended differently.

true that was a little sadding. build up their relationship like that just to have it ruined like that *wont spoil for anyone who hasnt seen it.

Kamina, in my opinion was a much more original character than Semone. But as for the ending I think the first season ending was a pretty good ending in itself. Second season just felt unwelcome by comparison.

As for what I mean by the ep8, beyond that characters' death, the series flow changed completly after it.

  Still great action in that show though. Usually in mech anime the fighting seems to be dehumanized, but this series seemed to bypass that.

Like I said I watch for the action, a comic book just has action stills. Though if I was going to read the manga of anything it would be Gurren Lagaan's.

True. The manga and the anime are very different. Usually, depending on the series, one has more to it than the other.

I'd personally love to see another anime from this ones creator, does anybody know of something like that, or the name of the creator for that matter?
