  • its a great episode i just really hate that creeper teacher guy trying to get with my anri >_< he better back off!

  • ep. 6 - active interest

Kyohei is my second favorite character (after Izaya).  He has the coolest group of friends and is pretty much just a regular guy.  It's funny how the magnet of this episode is basically that it's half-price day at the Russian sushi place!  That drags almost everyone into the same place.

Kyohei did say in this episode that he's suspicious of Izaya being some kind of head of the Dollars, so I guess my idea from episode 3 is dead, that Kyohei might be suspicious of Mikado having something to do with the Dollars.

This episode is great because I love how his group of friends just sort of fell into his lap and it seems so natural.  Walker, Ericka and Saburo are all so cool.  This is also like the second time Izaya has come into Ikebukero to meddle in things/observe, and been chased out by Shizuo...  haha..  I guess Izaya technically lives in Shinjuku now since Shizuo kicked him out of Ikebukero.  This episode also took us into Shibuya a bit, which was cool.

One question.  What were those three girls with the angel wings and cell phones that we see a lot around Ikebukero gossiping and haning out and stuff doing in that house packed with illegals?  That seemed odd to me...

  • "Active Interest" its not my favorite episode but it really is important and is a must see if you really want to understand future events during the show

  • ep. 7 - bad-ass dude

Shizuo's episode.  Aside from me drooling over adorable Kasuka (that poster from his first movie was hot!  I want one!) and a younger Izaya, I had no idea Shinra, Shizuo and Izaya all went to the same school.  The best part of this episode is all of Shizuo's failed jobs because he can't control his anger.  The McDonalds job and the Power Ranger job were the best!  He probably shouldn't be working with the public...

  • bad ass dude was and is still my 3rd favorite episode of durarara!! i like how it shows shizuo as a kid just destroying stuff all the time. i do feel bad him though at times because it seems that he will never truly be able to control it. i mean can you imagine how it must feel to have all that strength and not be able to control it? you would just go into  a blind rage and start to harm people that you care for. then again i guess that what shizuo means when he says he hates violence.

  • yeah, especially when he was young he'd be breaking bones left-and-right.  he asked kasuka if he was ever afraid of him and he said "not really" and every time shizuo flipped all he would do is give him a bottle of milk.  looking back, i don't think we've seen your 2nd or 1st favorite episodes yet huh?  i'm wondering which they will be....  i'm not sure if i have a favorite episode..

  • ep. 8 - ephemeral dream

this is the first episode that is not narrated by just one person.  i like this episode a lot.  i think one of the things that makes DRRR! so great is the way they tell the story.  that lost and found girl is cool.  she just invites anyone to write down what they are looking for, and she hopes they find it.  Mikado wrote 'connections' .  so Shinra knows that the head is at Yagiri Pharma?  and Seiji's g/f is also called Celty....  hmmmm.....

  • loved the non-fish sushi.

  • yeah that was hilarious... like spaghetti sushi... Simon's awesome

  • ep. 9 - love and cherish

this episode leaves me with more questions than anything.  how did Namie's uncle ever even get Celty's head?  why is the head so afraid of the body?  what is this bewitching quality the head has over guys, pulling in both the uncle and Seiji?  and what the hell game is Izaya playing?  it looks like some combination of Go and Chess...  (that bugs me through the who series.)  Namie's obsession with her brother; Seiji's obsession with the head; and the girl with the neck scar's utter terror of Celty all serve as distraction from these pressing issues.  how does the head work?  can it really just be reattached to a "fresh" body (Mika)?  this episode is an interesting diatribe on love, obsession, and the subject's interpretation of love while warped by obsession.  this episode really lets Izaya shine too.  i think he's still my favorite character.  everyone is connected to him somehow.  Ikebukero is his playland!  Izaya definitely loves his work.  i really hope you leave some thoughts on this episode durararaGO95 (chris too if ya want) because i'd really like to hear your take on it.

  • All i want to know is about Namie's love for Seiji. I mean is it just a sister type of love for their younger sibling? Or something a lot more...something a bit wrong?

  • uh actually I don't want to go any further into it O_O I mean there are already more than enough DRRR!! fanfics out there if really wanted to find out.....ugh DX

  • about the fanfics... i know... YIKES!  I think option two is the right answer about Namie's love for Seiji.....  why?  I don't know.  but this relationship is what makes the two of them so creepy.  Seiji's cute, but he is so distant and vacant... and just obsessed with the head to the point of 100% distraction;  Namie is possessive and touchy-feely....  but overly so for siblings..... creepy.

  • durara is kinda boring atm. the manga makes it a little more exciting.

  • well the show is repeating its episodes right now so yeah it may be boring right now but the manga is still awesome. its nice to see all the things that didnt make it into the show
