The lights are on
I don't know what these reviewers are smoking, but it has clearly warped their perception of what a quality game is supposed to be. Let me start out by saying that anyone looking for action or adventure should immediately turn away from this turd. This has been called a video game that is an interactive "novel". I'd rather spend my time reading an actual novel than whatever this weird junk is! It is ridculously slow and its story is ludicrously absurd. The characters are so aloof and bizarre that they defy conventionality! Stay far, far away from this offbeat waste!!! It is utterly amazing to me that this is sitting as the highest rated Vita game on metacritic.com!!!! There are some very strange weirdos out there who thank this is Vita's best offering!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how dramatic and ill-conceived they are. The genre is called "visual novel" for a reason, so of course it's not going to be filled with action. The story and characters are fine but I could see it getting far too cerebral for you. Actually, I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that you don't ever read anything, can't appreciate good writing, and probably didn't get past the first room before writing the game off.
