Yakuza 0
Sega has released a new trailer for the upcoming prequel to the fan-favorite Yakuza series. The trailer includes several action scenes from Yakuza 0, and confirms that it will also be getting a European release.
Yakuza 0 will tell the story of series protagonists Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima as they were before they hit their stride in the Yakuza syndicate. The two friends fight their way up the hierarchy, doing all sorts of over-the-top things as Yakuza foot soldiers. See for yourself in the trailer and gallery below.
Sega confirmed that Yakuza 0 would release in the Americas back at the PlayStation Experience in December, but was not able to confirm a European release at the time. Now the company states that Yakuza 0 is headed to Europe as well, and that it is targeting a simultaneous release in both territories in early 2017.
Only the PS4 version of Yakuza 0 will be coming to the west, but it will be released both physically and digitally. Yakuza 0 will be localized entirely by Sega; PlayStation will not be involved with the production.
