Yaiba Headed To Current Gen Consoles

Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune announced that he was working with Tecmo on a zombie-themed Ninja Gaiden game, but at the time the company was cryptic about which console the new game would release for.

It seems that the bloody cat is out of the bag. As Siliconera recently reported, a bunch of new job listed for developer Spark Unlimited reveal that the game is being planning for release on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. This doesn’t necessarily rule out a port to next gen consoles, but it looks like you won’t have to upgrade your hardware to play this rotting take on Ninja Gaiden. For more on Yaiba check out the announce trailer here.

  • Okay, I guess.

  • Pass
  • yes please!

  • This is great news for me! I can't wait to play this game! I know people want a next gen console, but frankly I would rather buy games for the current gen then buy a completely new console. Thank you so much Mr. Inafune!
  • I've been getting tired of zombie games but Telltale's The Walking Dead and games like this are keeping me interested. Ninjas and zombies?! Sure!
  • I hope they bring out a gameplay video soon

  • I am really looking forward to this game. After the big fail that was Ninja Gaiden 3, I can't wait for a new Ninja Gaiden game!!!

  • I'll pass...

  • I'm still personally trying to figure out who this game is supposed to be for...
  • Crossing my fingers for a Wii U release! Probably still get it otherwise...

  • I feel like it'll be hitting Wii U and PS3 at least...
  • From the trailer it looks like a great concept. Would like to see some actual gameplay first before I get too excited though.

  • Eh. Little bloody for my tastes.

  • Okay

  • Really looking forward to this... Metal Gear Rising and Yaiba will have to take Ninja Gaiden's place since they want to go the casual route with it.

  • and yet another game announcement with no wii u mention. Well at least I can get it for my 360. What happened to nintendo knocking on all those developers door. They made it seem like things were really going to change, but no they have not.

I know its only been about a month and a half but I was hoping to at least have some vague announcement to be excited for. So far I haven't even gotten a newly released game on the e-shop. That is 6 thursdays without a new release and no demo's dont count. I love my wii u but it just seems like its going nowhere fast, just like my 3ds when it first came out. But I haven't gotten anything at all for addopting early.
