A couple of weeks ago at Gamescom, we got a guided tour through XCOM 2’s mobile Avenger base. There have been some substantial changes to the strategy layer in keeping with the game’s theme of humanity in defeat.
Players will need to build the resistance from disparate cells around the world. In order to do that, you’ll need to move your mobile base, make contact, and bring those small groups into the fold.
Time isn’t on your side, though. You’ll need to make hard decisions quickly. Research, engineering, and more require intel, resources, and time.
