The lights are on
Today brings a third batch of WWE 2K14 matches for the title's single-player 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode. Monday was "Hulkamania Runs Wild" and yesterday gave us "The New Generation." Today, it's "The Attitude Era."
Here are the four matches that cover Wrestlemania 14 through 17:
WWE 2K14 will be out on October 29, 2013, on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. You can read our recent preview highlighting the game's upgrades in its first year at 2K Sports.
The gameplay looks like it's tightened up and the era matches are a nice throwback (especially for those who weren't old enough to experience them).
The main draw for me in these games is custom wrestlers. I really miss the GM mode where your superstars would gain or lose popularity depending on match types, win/loss, or other factors.
More great matches, keep bringing em on. I think this game is going to actually out do '13
I really think sports games and wrestling games should come out at the same frequency as fight night. Every few years. Not annually. once the newest version has been on sale for six months, people stop buying it because they figure, "oh what the hell, I'll just wait for the new one"
i just watched all the WM's and RR's during the Attitude era recently with a bunch of friends at a vacation house over a weekend. it made me miss those days of RAW so much. i literally had goosebumps and i don't know how many times one of us exlcaimed "this is so fuggin good!".
rest... in... peace
This is a bit lackluster, especially considering all the great tag team matches from that era.
Wait...so WM XIV gets Taker/Kane but no Austin/HBK? That makes no sense.
Sucks that we can't get the Triangle Ladder match at WM 2000 or TLC 2 can't make it since Jeff Hardy and Bubba (Bully) Ray are signed with TNA. In fact, WM 17 could have filled half the list with it's matches as it's the best WWE show ever.
good job , keep that era stuff coming. i didnt like any of the wrestling games after no mercy but ever since wwe'12 ive been hooked. the controls are back as easy as ever. but the online needs some work. i was hoping to see that last year. but no dice.
