Open World Developer Walkthrough Shows The Gamescom Experience

At Gamescom 2013, we had the chance to finally go hands-on with Ubisoft's Watch Dogs. In the preview that followed, we discussed the open world and how multiplayer will work. Now, you get to see what we played.

In the video below, you'll see Aiden Pearce hack a ctOS substation, chase down a criminal, and hack (and counter-hack) another player. You'll be able to do all of that yourself when the game launches on November 15 for PlayStation 4, November 19 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC, and November 22 for Xbox One.

  • The graphics are so sick and realistic, this will be my third game on PS4 after Shadow Fall and Black Flag.. I hope this meets all the hype, it sure looks so.

  • The one game that I'm waiting for!

  • Well...I hope theres an option to turn it off..I mean I can see that getting very boring if it happens all the time.

  • I'm so excited to play this. All of it looks great.

  • Look'in forward to this, almost wish they'd lay off of the trailers. We've seen so much of this kind of thing already, it's time for something new to show-off. Still, the best blend of Assassin's Creed and GTA, methinks.

  • Considering i wont be able to get a next gen console when they come out, i want to wait and see what this game will be like on current gen. Will it play the some minor draw backs or will it be a butchered experience?

  • The style of this game looks exactly like what Ubisoft originally had planned for Splinter Cell Conviction.
  • Am I the only one who hates Gameinformers video player?
  • Diane Young in Watch Dogs? Count me in!

  • I look forward to learning what any one player actually gains or loses by hacking or being hacked by another player. I know I'm not the only other person thinking about this. Can we actually interfere with the single player progress of another player, or do we just gain some kind of "loot" or progress further if the other player is further than us in the main story? This could potentially be a deal breaker for some, but would really speak to the testament of what the game is going for. Also, is it optional?
  • Anyone else notice how the graphical fidelity has gone down with every video since the reveal...

  • that is some awesome stuff, can't wait till november 22

  • All I could think of while watching this video was "Gah! I wanna play GTA V NOW!". Even though their only likeness is the "big city free roaming".

  • I want to play.  I wonder if this or GTA will sell more.  Most likely GTA.
