The lights are on
Ubisoft is bringing its brand of open world gameplay into a contemporary setting this November with Watch Dogs. We've heard a lot about the game's focus on hacking, but a new video gives us a more in-depth look at what's possible.
The most important new item is that there are 45 different hacks that Aiden Pearce can use, and these are unlocked via a skill tree. Points are earned by hacking data, and you can't do that without tapping into the local nodes and installing a back door.
We're eager to see what's new with Watch Dogs from Gamescom next week. Until then, this trailer will have to hold us over.
Watch Dogs will be released on November 19, 2013, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will also be released this fall.

I hope that you can't unlock all of these throughout the game. Are once you get to a certain level it gets pretty tough to unlock the rest.
I'm actually really looking forward to having friends interact with me through the ipad app. Trolling me as I run from the cops. These are the things that excite me haha
So sweet! I'm getting the PC version. It's gonna be an amazing November!
I think they need to correct an error, the L train is not the L train it is the Luigi train get it right! Looks great!
impressed, the idea of side quests to advance your hacking area and capabilities sounds like a great thing. I am wondering though, how well it will integrate into the combat and driving scenario's. Either way, I am still excited for this game.
Getting this when it comes out, one of my most anticipated titles!
Oh this is Deus Ex hacking pimped!!!!!! My goal is to get the blackout hack ASAP!!!!!
I've bee pretty impressed with this game so far. My hopes are high for this game to be spectacular.
Looks better each time they release new information.. I'll be playing this for sure on PS4, after Killzone and Black Flag.
Oh I'm so excited.
I'm just really excited that this game takes place in Chicago.
Reminds me of a variation of 'Point of Interest' tv show. Also, I'm glad to finally see Chicago being used as a setting.
Is it constantly raining in the game? It's like in Deus Ex: Human Revolution where it was perpetual night.
