Watch Dogs
It's easy to forget that much of the athleticism we see in games is rooted in human performance. Many titles emphasize showy combat that wouldn't often be seen in a real fight. Watch Dogs is going in another direction.
In a video posted on Ubisoft's new blog, we get a short look at the actor behind Watch Dogs protagonist Aiden Pearce. The combat is direct and brutal. There's no glitz, as it's all about taking down opponents as quickly and efficiently as possible.
It's also interesting to learn about the challenges the team faced when figuring out how to make Aiden's hands-in-pocket casual walk fit within the constraints of motion capture. If you're interested in more Watch Dogs, we recently had the chance to preview the title and talk with members of the team.
Watch Dogs will be out on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on November 19, 2013. Releases are also planned for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
