The lights are on
The Warhammer 40,000 could only resist the appeal of free-to-okay for so long. Space Wolf is coming next year, and it will offer card-based strategy with no up-front investment.
In the game, you will be using collectible cards to drive the action of your player in a third-person 3D environment.
You can check out the screens for the gallery below, which feature a few of the cards that will be in the game. From this very early glimpse, it seems reminiscent of the Metal Gear: Acid games that released for PSP.

They better not screw this up with my favorite chapter on the name
Awesome idea. Combines two cool elements into one game.
"From this very early glimpse, it seems reminiscent of the Metal Gear: Acid games that released for PSP."
Indeed. I was actually going to post that after skipping down to the gallery. A gameplay system I highly enjoyed merged with a verse I'm a huge fan of... I get the feeling this is a game that is going to suck lots of $$$ out of me. The only matching element I don't see on these cards is REA, but they might have tweaked the gameplay system to remove counter attacks, since a lot of the time they were actually counter productive or would result in drawn out counter attack chains.
I think I now know what they mean by collectible cards. by playing the game you earn cards for the game.
