Switch Lights

The lights are on

Not bad, but not amazing either

I fondly remember Vandal Hearts for PSone being one of the first strategic role playing games I had ever played.  When I saw a new version available for download on XBLA I was pretty excited.  The early parts of the game played very nicely, though I noticed the combat was a bit easy, especially since I remember many of the battles in the original VH to be pretty difficult.  More to my dismay was the fact that my characters would not be given the opportunity to change classes every 10 levels (and the fact that classes are absent altogether).  Despite these flaws, VH:FoJ does provide a few hours of halfway decent gameplay that gamers who want to feel a bit nostalgic about the original or newcomers to strategy RPGs.  Hardcore strategists looking for a challege will most likely be bored within an hour however.  So as the title states: not bad, but not amazing.
