Heat Of Battle Escalates In Returning Survival Mode

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is less than a week from release. In preparation, Activision has a new trailer on the co-op survival Escalation mode that returns from War for Cyberton and Fall of Cybertron.

The trailer details how players can set up turrets and barricades to control their territory, as well as the weapon upgrades unlocked with each wave of enemies defeated.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark comes to Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS and PC June 24. The Escalation game type will, unfortunately, not be available on Wii U or 3DS, however.

  • So, is this made by High Moon Studios? Because I'm seeing a lot of character and weapon models from FoC and WfC.
  • I was going to purchase this for my Wii U but I guess I can scrap that considering they're not going to put the full game on there.

  • It kind of blows my mind that developers are leaving out game modes on the Nintendo systems. I could understand that the 3DS may not have enough memory or something, but there is no excuse for the Wii U.

  • Eh, if it were being done by High Moon I'd be excited, but with Edge of Reality (a studio I've never heard of before) making it, I'll wait for reviews first.

  • Well that looks pretty sweet, I'm still a bit skeptical because it's not High Moon. But what had High Moon done before WfC? I'm willing to give these guys at Edge of Reality a chance, they can't be any worse than Michael Bay.
  • High Moon studios is making the last gen version of Call of Duty Advance Warfare, if you are wondering?
  • Were any of those stages new. I Know some shoters bring back old stages Like Halo and Call of Duty but those get at least a reskin.

  • a 2... out of 5.

  • Not available for Wii U is... The Escalation? Huh. I knew fanboys would be moaning about this, yet they don't even bother to SUPPORT 3rd party games! When was the last time we saw a big 3rd Party game people wanted to support?! Oh yeah, that's right! Soul Callibur 2! Just because it had their precious little link from Zelda.

But rambling aside, I'm most likely to pick this up on Wii U. Mostly because I do NOT want to feel like I wasted my money on the PS3 version. I can tell this'll be a quick short dud.

Come on High Moon, please announce a true sequel to Fall Of Cybertron!

  • Why even bother making a Wii U version if it's gonna be gimped? They are pretty much assuring that the Wii U version won't sell well. The logic behind that is.....
