The lights are on
Update: High Moon Studios, the developer behind Transformers: War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, will not be behind the Rise Of The Dark Spark. Instead, the game is being developed by Edge of Reality.
Edge of Reality worked with BioWare to develop the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3, and helped develop Dragon Age: Origins on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. According to Examiner.com, which spoke with an Activision representative at the NYC Toy Fair, the 3DS version of the game will be an entirely separate tactical RPG game developer by WayForward, which most recently developed DuckTales: Remastered.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is coming to consoles, PC, and 3DS this year.
The game was announced at the New York City Toy Fair with a trailer, which is currently exclusive to IGN. You can check it out by heading here.
The game will apparently allow players to take on the roles of either Autobots or Decepticons to either save or destroy the world.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC this year.
Our TakeHigh Moon Studios, the developer behind Transformers: War for Cybertron
and Fall of Cybertron, is surprisingly absent from the trailer. It
appears as though it did not develop this title, but we currently don't
know all the details.

Has to be a movie tie in. Grimlock looks Just like the one from the Super Bowl preview. Although Prime looks the same from high moon (the cybertronian version)
Maybe High Moon is working on a Transformers Beast Wars game, make it happen Captain.
Yeah, no high moon makes me skeptical, is it a sequel to fall of cybertron, or something new I wonder.
I want to believe in this so badly it hurts. I had so much fun with WFC and FOC, and heck, even some with Dark of the Moon even if it didn't live up, and this seems like it could be so incredible. But I love High Moon, and I do become a bit fearful if they aren't at the helm... But the 3DS tactical RPG actually sounds interesting, as an aside...
Since high moon isn't working on this I don't think it will be as good as the others.
It looks markedly similar to the previous games, so maybe it won't be too bad. However, my gut intuition tells me this title isn't going to be of the highest quality.
the last 2 were cool this beeter be too as need a good game to play
Is it possible that EoR could be using the FoC engine for this?
Looks to combine the universes of the movies and the War/Fall of Cybertron/G1 storyline. Hopefully it works out, and I'll get the Wii U version.
That just sounds really stupid when I say it out loud.
The release says June 2014... I'm not gonna like this one bit.
