The lights are on
Activision is bringing out another Transformers title, and this time it's based on the animated TV series of the same name.
The game doesn't have a fixed release date yet, but it will hit the Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo DS sometime this year. The website says "coming soon," so perhaps that means summer.
Autobots will fight Decepticons in the eternal struggle between good and evil, that much we know, but all Activision is saying about the gameplay is that it mixes brawling action with driving.
The Wii and 3DS versions are developed by Now Production, while the DS edition is handled by the sinister-sounding Altron Corporation.
Email the author Matthew Kato, or follow on Twitter, and Game Informer.

And my crappy licensed game meter just broke. On that note, is this even really necessary? I mean, Fall of Cybertron is coming pretty soon, and it actually has a ton of potential. This just has cash-in written all over it.
I guess this is cool for the younger crowd who won't get a chance to play "Fall of Cybertron". Otherwise, it kind of seems like overkill to me.
No No your doing it wrong
Crap on a rope. Would love to play this, but Nintendo is dead to me.
Might have already been pointed out but this trailer says Fall 2012...
rofl
So true. Everyone at Altron better have a curly mustache, with which to twirl menacingly.
I have a feeling that this game is going to suck but there is a small chance that it may be decent.
Well seeing as the show is on the Hub (not that's bad, The Aquabats are amazing) and that it's being made for Nintendo only it's going to be a game based for kids. So I'll probably skip out on this one.
Blah, wheres war for cybertron?
I watched the first few episodes than stopped... The show bored me.
Huh... Well... I don't mind the TV show but that looks pretty pathetic.
Weeeeeeell.... After the past releases this does'nt seems exciting at all.
How many transformers games do we need in one year?
Makes me glad I play PS3 and PS Vita...have fun Nintendo fans.
Sounds neat, not all interested into this game. I'm assuming this is aim towards younger kids.
I've only heard good things about this series, I need to check it out.
