Transformers: Devastation
It was a Sunday morning in 1984, and I had been anticipating getting up early all week long. I had seen commercials for a new cartoon called Transformers, and was instantly excited. With cereal in hand, I experienced one of the most formative moments of my childhood.
To this day, Optimus Prime stands out as one of the most important hero figures of my youth. He is as much father figure to the Autobots as he is their military leader, and that is in no small part thanks to actor Peter Cullen.
In the video below, Cullen discusses his role in the upcoming Transformers: Devastation. He also reminisces about his first time reading for Optimus Prime and how he approaches the character.
