Total War: Warhammer
A new gameplay video for Total War: Warhammer was released today. The beta gameplay footage includes an early look at the game’s magic system, the return of Guard mode, and some early tier units from the Greenskins army.
The 12-minute video covers an early mission in the upcoming RTS, featuring the leadership of the infamous Orcish Warlord Azhag the Slaughterer. Fans of the tabletop Warhammer game will recognize many of the Greenskin units, including the Orc Boar Boyz as cavalry and Orc Arrer Boyz as archers.
Those concerned about Total War’s transition into the world of fantasy will be happy to know this video addresses how magic works in the game. Random spell movement and the possibility of miscasting are attempts to bring balance to powerful magical abilities.
