The lights are on
Thief is coming back in 2014, and Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal have delivered a new trailer. The footage below shows Garrett in action, infiltrating a manor and stealing everything of value in sight.
Thief will be out on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on Februrary 25, 2014. For more, check out our narrative preview from Gamescom and our coverage from the April 2013 issue.

Great trailer, this made me more interested then the E3 trailers ever did.
Seeing the game in action has completely changed my opinion on it-
in a bad way.
I really hated this trailer. There are so many things about it I hate.
I haven't played the original Thief, and judging from Replay I didn't miss much. So I have no fond memories of it.
The idea of a generic 'gritty dark action reboot' of the property doesn't bother me, but it just "feels" like it wants to be Dishonored so badly. That's not a bad thing, and maybe it's just me.
It has a very unique, bleak look that is certainly appealing, but Garret himself seems very unappealing. Yes, he has a face. Wow.
This trailer is the first time I've seen it and I'm sorry I did.
Why is he acting like Spiderman and showing his face to everyone? Doesn't he want to hide his face? Oh, right people will complain if you don't show the main characters face every five seconds.
I'm just confused. Why has all of the promo material and concept art shown him masked? (Yeah, because he looks cooler that way.)
Sure, he'll be thieving that way (maybe) but we'll always see him showing his dumb face. He may be kind of ugly, but hey, they modeled his face, so you're going to look at it.
Even worse is his voice, which I'm sure we'll constantly be hearing. Nice accent (sarcasm). Really don't like the voice they settled on.
He also seems like he'll be smug and smarmy in an action movie way, rather than like in that short story you guys posted awhile back. I predict he's going to be unlikable in an uninteresting way. There's nothing wrong with an unlikable protagonist, but at least make him interesting. (Rather than seeming like someone who could be played by Justin Timberlake.)
I do like the Ye Olde Wanted Posters, and how he's masked and hooded on them. That should help the police (?) find the guy who's always unmasked to show off his face (for fanart I guess.)
Looks more awesome than i originally thought.
I don't understand the people here. "It just looks like another generic AAA stealth game." Of course it's a AAA game. So what? Why is that so bad? And what do you mean by generic stealth game? IT'S A STEALTH GAME. EVERY STEALTH GAME HAS THE SAME BASIC MECHANICS. How is this generic but other stealth games aren't? Some of the people on here just confuse the hell out of me.
