Behind The Scenes Video Looks At Fusing History And Mythology

A new behind the scenes video from developer Ready At Dawn details the line the studio rides between history and myth for The Order: 1886.

You will learn the thought process that went into the game's fantastical elements versus its grounded elements, and see a little bit of in-engine footage from the game. The video also goes in-depth on the game's fabric and costumer design, which is surprisingly fascinating.

The Order: 1886 is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 early next year. We're hoping to see more from the game at E3 next week.

  • This game looks pretty interesting. Hopefully they'll show it in more depth at E3.

  • I can't seem to get interested in this game yet, E3 may change my mind...
  • This looks very interesting. I really hope that this is good because I'm pretty excited for this game.

  • i have no solid reason but i just feel like this game isn't going to be very good. i hope it is but.. yeah idk. will see i guess. the comments the devs made about games running at 30 fps being a good thing didn't help
  • I am wicked interested in seeing how they fold Jack the Ripper into the narrative :)

  • This game can crawl up and die. It looks like another pew pew third person shooter. Lets be real for a minute and all admit its only got the level of hype it does cause everyone is pro sony at the moment. Of course ill wait for the final game to come out before i pass my closing judgement but that gameplay vid showed nothing we havent seen in this genre before plus the characters seem to have to much weight to them. Its gorgeous of course but we all know it will be eclipsed by uncharted 4.

  • I'm looking forward to seeing these at E3.

  • I am excited about this game, but the gameplay is something I'm cautiously optimistic about. I feel like they will nail the world and the story, but I want some great gameplay. What I saw was very short, but it was gameplay nonetheless, and it didn't intrigue me the same way everything else about this game does. They still have a lot of time to work on it though. I just hope their first outing is a memorable one.

  • I'm really excited for this game. I think the story has great potential, I don't think they need to revolutionize the third person shooter or anything like that. Just nail solid gameplay and tell a great story. I mean that's what The Last of US did isn't it? I don't think there was anything in that game groundbreaking ,gameplay wise but It's still a fantastic game.

  • Yes please

  • You should definitely uprade your video player, it always take a few try before making it work.... It's kinda frustrating.
  • I don't wanna wait any longer lol.

  • I'm so excited about this title it was one of the main reasons I bought PS4 day one and even though it got delayed I'm still stoked to get my hands on it.

  • The more information or gameplay I see on this game, the more I want it right then and there. This is definitely a pre-order for me. I want to see more of this tomorrow at E3.

  • Fascinating. The setting and story have certainly caught my attention but its still too early to say that its a must buy . . .

  • OMG so much want

  • This game looks great. Can't wait till it comes out.
