The lights are on
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North has an emphasis on co-operative play, and there are some good reasons why. Not only does it provide a chance to highlight three of Middle-earth's dominant races, but it also happens to be great fun. At least, that's what developer Snowblind Studios says in a new developer diary for the action/RPG.
Even if the video below is light on big gameplay reveals, it is a great showcase for the game's brutal real-time combat. If you're looking for an excuse to dismember a giant spider or turn an orc into a walking blood fountain, you've come to the right place.
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is shipping on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on November 1.

Im intrigued i love my RPGs, i love Lord of the rings.
i like the dark take on it and i heard the lady say single player, thats how i like my RPGs
i was never interested in previous lord of the rings games, but this has caught my eye. looks pretty decent.
if only its release wasn't so close to skyrim...
looks really freaking good, but i'm thinking Uncharted 3 will be getting the majority of my attention on this day. but i'll still get this eventually.
SO. EAGER. for this title. CAN'T. WAIT.
Yeah, but there's "Leg" in Legolas.
this is the game real grown lord of the rings fans will wanna play including me, it will be the first one made for teen and up, and the blood and gore is epic, i will be picking this one up, not in the near future cause i will be in tehran on battlefield 3
the beginning of the trailer looked like Mortal Kombat, did anyone else see that? on a side note, still looking to see if this game is worth my time, and from this trailer it seems that it is.
ill eventually get to this, dark souls and skyrim come first
I cannot choose between this or Dark Souls...absolutely getting Skyrim though, no doubt about that.
A little to short for me to pay full price on this one. Will get it though. Just not till later... That elf is hot!
