It pushes the gamer in all sorts of ways. There'll be parts where you'll smile and curse at how hard the puzzles and bosses can get. But nevertheless, this is a great game. Even after you beat the game there's a Master Quest mode that really will push the gamer to be on his or her heels.

This game is lenghty and pretty much legits.

Complaints: There is no Streetpass or Spotpass content at all. I really was upset at that. Also, the game's CGI scenes weren't that pretty but its whatever cuz the original Ocarina had the same graphics.

Anyway, get this game. I got a 3ds and this game surely is sweet on it.

Sadly, I never had the opportunity to play the original version, but from what I played of the remake, Ocarina of time is probably in my top 3 best Zelda games ever made. The remake is as every bit as good as its original and I can't see any problems with it.

This is easily the best remake that exists, besides as good a game as is. Nintendo did a beautiful job remaking the graphics from the ground-up while retaining the same magical look that I've seen from the original in photos. The gameplay is as solid as any modern hand-held or console game today and can surely be recognized as setting the standard. The boss fights throughout are fairly good though the final boss is one of my favorites now. The dungeons are complex and challenging while still fun and the open-worlds are brilliantly measured in size and accessibility, all mixed together with one of the more refreshingly cool plots of any Zelda.

An easy A in my book.

The kid in the green skirt is back and just as delightful.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has finally come back
as one of the most anticipated games to release for the 3DS and the wait was
worth it. LoZ: OoT 3D boasts itself with
updated graphics and 3D visuals. The
graphics are now smoother and more colorful making it look as if it belonged on
the 3DS this whole time. The 3D looks
great in game but I had no dire feeling to keep it on.

The classic music and sound make their return and are just
as beautiful as before.

The double screens also play well in the game. Instead of stopping to look at your map like
in the N64 version you can simply look at the bottom screen to see your
map. Your hearts and magic bar are also
located at the bottom so they are out of your way but clearly visible. If you don't want to use X & Y to use
items you can simply touch the item on the screen.

OoT 3D comes with a nice addition, Master Quest. This is added only after you finish the
original story. Master Quest is a harder
version of the original game. Monsters
do more damage and everything in the game is flipped so veterans of the classic
game can come in with a new experience.
It's a nice addition if you want a harder difficulty, if not you can
always play the game again on the original setting.

The only gripe I had with the game was the fact that it was
portable. The original N64 version was
made to be a console game not a handheld.
Handheld games are handheld for a reason. Most people play handhelds when they get a
couple minutes in line or on a bus. They
will play a quick mini game or quest then close it and go on doing whatever they
were doing. With OoT you can be playing
in a dungeon trying to find a locked door then close the game. Later when you pick it up you forget what it
was you were trying to do. I could only
play the game when I knew I was going to have an hour or two too play.

Overall OoT is a classic masterpiece that was brought back
to life and is a must have for any 3DS owner.

I loved being able to wander around a 3D world as both young Link and older Link. The gameplay elements were incredible and created a visual world that went beyond my imagination.

Fast forward to today, and Nintendo has taken my childhood love, dressed it up really pretty, fixed some of the aiming issues and created another fantastic game. Many complain that there is nothing new in this version, but I have to disagree. The boss battles and the master quest are more than enough for this new version. Anything more would be desecrating the original memory.

The 3D effect is beautiful when coupled with the updated graphics. Yes there are slight problems while aiming, but that's my only problem with it.

All in all, Ocarina of Time 3DS is an incredible game and is a must for anyone who is a fan of the Zelda series.

A Great Update to One of the Greatest Games

I am very new to the Zelda series, having played my first entry, Twilight Princess, for the first time this summer. I have fallen in love with the characters, story, and dungeons that game presents, and so I decided to get the Zelda Edition 3DS with this game, often considered by many to be the greatest of all time.

It's hard for me to compare this remake to the original because I never actually played it, but I can say that I really loved nearly every minute of the 40 hours it took me to beat the game. While I did sell my soul to a walkthrough early on, that only helped me enjoy the game more. The gameplay, dungeons, music, and story were all very fun. I was also surprised when I beat the infamous Water Temple with very little difficulty (without using the Walthrough, no less).

As a remake, though, this game does everything it should, for the most part. The gyroscopic controls, while not necessary, are fun to use from time to time. The 3D effect is really engrossing and adds to the very beautiful graphics of the game, but it does cause some eye strain if used to frequently. Toward the end of my playthrough I almost constantly had the 3D entirely off as it helped me concentrate.

The circle pad feels meant to control Link, and almost works better than the Nunchuk's analog. Being able to map the buttons using the touch screen keeps things very user friendly, and having the Iron/Hover Boots as Items rather than gear is something I can imagine to be very helpful.

This all being said, this is still the same game it has always been, and for those that have played the adventure previously there isn't too much to draw you back. The Master Quest is almost too hard for its own good, and Boss Battle mode is fun but not a game maker. Ultimately, how much it's worth to see Link look a lot better will be a deciding factor for most fans.

This game is definitely fantastic and deserves all the praise it has received. As a remake, Ocarina of Time 3D does not disappoint and helps cater the all time classic to a new set of fans. One of those, of course, is myself.

Good Game Overall

This game is very good if you have never played Ocarina of Time.
Gameplay: You get about 20-40 hours of gameplay on average, depending how good you are at it. You really want to play through this again after you've completed it, and you can. You can even play through it again a second time with the harder Master Quest. Overall, just great amount of gameplay. But once you finish the game for the first time, you sort of feel sad when it's over.

Graphics: Duh. This game has been remastered on the Nintendo 3DS. That means in true 3D. So the graphics are basically perfect. If you compare the Nintendo 64 version with this version side by side, everyone could tell the difference, and everyone would buy the 3DS version if they had a Nintendo 3DS. What I'm trying to say is that the graphics in this game are amazing. Truly amazing.

Lasting Appeal: Average. I would play through this game about twice, it gets much more boring after that. And I would collect all the items in the game while you're trying to complete the game (follow all the sidequests) because it's not as fun doing it after you've completed the game. Again, I said the lasting appeal is average, so it's not bad or good. Just OK.

Sound: The sound is just great. My favirote sound effects are the swinging sword, bow, and, of course, the traditional solving puzzle chime. My favirote music in the game is the Lost Woods song. But besides my favorites, the sound is better than the Nintendo 64 version. Again, just great. If you want a game just for the music, this game is a good choice, but not the best in my opinion.

Overall Entertainment: This game can keep you entertained much more than the Nintendo 64 or Gamecube versions. You can be entertained for hours before wanting to put this game down. In fact, almost all of the Zelda games do this. You'll enjoy this game a lot. And I mean A LOT.

Controls: The controls got simpler, which is good. You can assign 4 items to buttons (2 of which are activated with the touch screen), playing the ocarina got easier, and it's easier to turn the volume off so you don't have to hear Navi's annoying voice. So overall, the controls are awesome.

3D: The 3D seems a bit overdone in this game, but you can enjoy it for a good 15 minutes or so. It will hurt your eyes more than most Nintendo 3DS so far, but it's OK. I'd say that the 3D is a bit below average.

Why should you buy this game? Well, because it's the best rated and most played The Legend of Zelda game. And it's in 3D. But seriously, during sidequests, you should turn the volume off so you don't have to hear Navi telling you where to go. Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen! You get my point.

A Classic in a New Dimension

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of the most beloved games of all time. People absolutely love this game. It amazed players in 1998 with its great visuals, outstanding gameplay, and epic story. While it isn't as amazing now as it was in 1998, it is definitely the best game on the 3DS( as of right now).

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is famous for its revolutionary gameplay. The combat and dungeons have aged pretty well. There hasn't been a lot changed, and that's a good thing. Some new features have been added, and they work very well. The touch screen makes using items a lot easier. You can aim your bow/slingshot with the gyroscope. At first, I thought this would be pretty bad, but it actually is very good. The gyroscope aiming is much easier than the traditional aiming. The dungeons are just as challenging as ever, but some changes have been made to aid players. For example, the water temple has special markings on the wall of hallways that lead to a place where the water level can be adjusted. This might seem like a small change, but it makes the dungeon a lot more manageable. The boss fights might not be as good as some of us remember, but they're still a lot of fun. As I said earlier, there haven't been a lot of changes made to the gameplay, and that's a good thing. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time had great gameplay that had very few things that needed to change.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D won't blow you away with its graphics, but they're not bad by any means. It's one of the better looking 3DS games so far, but that isn't saying much. The game looks pretty good most of the time, but objects far away can look rather blurry. The 3D effect is a nice touch. It's one of the best examples of 3D on the 3DS. However, the 3D effect gets in the way when you use the gyroscope. You won't want to keep it on indefinitely. While the graphics won't amaze you, they get the job done.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has a pretty basic story. However, the characters make up for the rather cliche story. Some characters you get attached to, some make you laugh, and some just creep you out. The characters give the story a solid backbone. Even though it is rather cliche, the story is good. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a big game. The world is huge. There are tons of things to do. The game will probably take you anywhere from 20-50 hours depending on if you do all of the sidequests.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an amazing game. It's remake is even better. The changes that were made really make this the best way to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This is one game that should be in every 3DS owner's library.

Legend of Zelda 3ds

This is one of the greatest Legend of Zelda games and obviously one of the best games ever made of course I remake of a great game with 3d graphics would be just as great. This game was remade in 3d graphics to introduce the game into a younger generation. Many people purchased a 3ds just in order to play this game. Exploring the Hyrule with 3d graphics is even more satisfying. To think that after 13 long years this game is still loved, and remembered as a great game. This shows that no matter how old a game is that if it has a great story and great gameplay the game could be not only remembered years later but remade with better graphics. The only thing about this game that I could say annoyed me is navi's constant hey listenand her telling you to take a break after playing which is actually quite funny and possibly a good thing because I will play this game for hours at time without stopping which shows how much fun this game truely is. I could not rate this game any less then a 10 out of 10. As a huge Legend of Zelda fan my opinion may be biased but this is by no means a bad game.

A Remake Finally Done Right

This is just simply and utterly fantastic in every way, shape and form about it. i beat this on the N64 and on the Gamecube and it was fantastic then and its still fantastic now. The sound is awesome (I love to play Saria's Song just because of how it sounds). The graphics are amazing for a 3DS game you will want to try playing this with the 3D turned on, for all you 3D haters (if this turns out to be bad graphics for a 3DS game I'd like to see what the 3DS is capable of).
13 years ago gamers across the entire world were introduce to a game that would revolutionize the gaming landscape for ages. That game was none other than Zelda Ocarina of Time.It has been a long time since then, but this classic still manages to prove is worth.

The game takes full advantage of the 3DS capabilities and it looks better than ever.A complete overhaul in the graphics department makes every single place feel unique and charming.Every home now has interior decoration according to the individuals who inhabit them, store's no longer look empty, characters have more detail to them and everything in general looks better than ever. The 3D effect is also pretty nice but most players will probably play the majority of the game without it.

In terms of gameplay this is the same game you grow up with, everything is where it was 13 years ago and thanks to the 3DS controls and touchscreen the gameplay feels a lot more smoother than before. For those that already beat it fear not,the Master Quest takes everything you know about the game and throws it out through the window.Dungeon feels practically new thanks in part to the fact that the Master Quest is completely mirrored(Link is right handed in this version). Apart from that subtle additions like the gyropscope make this version more enjoyable.

Those who are looking for more challenges can try the boss mode. After certain key events in the story you get the option to go back to your home and activate this mode. What this consist of is simply beating the Dungeon Bosses in the quickest way possible.Beating all of them unlocks the gauntlet mode which consist of the same idea but beating them in succesion. Is a nice bonus but the lack of rewards can make it seem pointless for some folks.

There really is not much more to say about this game. This is the Zelda from 1998,the one you grow up with, the one you loved.Though some may not like the idea of buying a re release, there is content for everyone, from the veteran to the newcomer. Is arguably the best game on the 3DS (Possibly the greatest game of all times) and an opportunity for new generations to play it.If you are still one of those few souls who have not played it,then I suggest you do not pass on this opportunity.

my younger years sparked

I purchased my 3DS literally for this game. The prospect of playing through one of my favorite n64 games again sounded great, and i already liked the hands on I had with the tech. The game does it all right. A perfect port, the art style translates well to the handheld, and even the touch screen is a welcome addition.
