The lights are on
The latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is all gameplay, showing off new mechanics, tools, and weapons.
You'll see items like the flame and ice staffs in action, an octopus who grants weapon upgrades, and lots of 2D Link walking along walls.
The previous trailer for the game showcased more of the game's story, and revealed Lorule, the Hyrule antithesis, which you can check out here.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is coming to 3DS (and 2DS which Nintendo has been making sure to point out in all of its new trailers) on November 22, which happens to be the same day as Super Mario 3D World.

Can't wait, it looks so good.
I've always preferred the top down Zelda titles a little more than the 3rd person console games.
I will be honestly surprised if I enjoy this even as much as Parallel worlds. Parallel Worlds has a different world map, and amazing difficulty and (obviously) better aesthetics since it's done in the same style as A Link to the Past.
YouTube it if you don't know what I'm talking about.
Can't wait! It looks awesome!!!
This game is looking more BALR all the time. Can't wait to dive into Hyrule once again!
What a relief that the big Ocotrok isn't a boss. I though Link was going to have to kill him from the picture above.
This actually looks promising and the wall game-play seems less like a gimmick. I just hope they don't leave it at moving along a wall and add some 2D obstacles and enemies later in the game; otherwise it will just feel like a cumbersome way of getting around. But good on Nintendo none the less for coming up with a play mechanic that has some cool functionality and more importantly, possibilities. It's way better the ridiculous cat suits for Super Mario 3D Land on the Wii U.
why are your video embeds so bad? you guys been doing this for a long time now, cmon. tell your engineers to put some pride in thier work.
Lovely, simply lovely. Any game that carries the legendary name of Zelda automatically has my attention, but this certainly raises the stakes considerably. Nice.
So I guess beating the bosses and such will be as easy or as hard as you want, with the upgrade system.
"The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is coming to 3DS (and 2DS which Nintendo has been making sure to point out in all of its new trailers) on November 22, which happens to be the same day as Super Mario 3D World." It's also the same day as the XBOne.
Man, I love how they kept a lot of the sound effects, like the sword beams and the Rupees. Leave it to Nintendo to understand nostalgia :)
