Meet The Elder Scrolls Online's Kwama

The Kwama are a bug-like race of creatures that you will battle in Elder Scrolls Online, and you can see them in action here.

The Kwama are not a new species to Elder Scrolls. They were prominent in The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind. They are natives of Morrowind, and they must be weary of Dark Elves, who harvest their eggs for food.

You can see three different artist rendered forms of the Kwama above with the scrib, the worker, and the warrior. You can see them do battle in the gameplay video below.

  • I give this game 6 months before it becomes F2P.
  • MMO is the wrong way to go, Bethesda needs to go back to the days of Morrowind and re-learn how to make a good elder scrolls game.
  • I can't wait to try this game and fighting the kwama again will bring back memories of Morrowind. Ahh Morrowind such a great game.
  • I want this on my PS4! Elder Scrolls is a fantastic series. I was kinda let down by Skyrim, but overall I am really looking forward to this game. I always wanted an co-op Oblivion with 3 of my best buds exploring the world and defeating evil and such. Ahhh.....well I hope I get to do just that on ESO!
  • Uh... WTF? That is not what the Kwama were like in Morrowind. They were on all fours... oh whatever.
  • Looking nice so far. When does this come out again?
  • I'm really hoping this game will be P2P
  • Oh god, they got rowdy! Getting those eggs just become a badass task.

  • Don't forget to pick up a jar of sunshine and happiness on your way home sweetheart!
  • I loved Oblivion and Skyrim, but never have played Morrowind... :(
  • Oh, so I'm going to kill the Buggers.

  • The warriors remind me of deathclaws
  • But just let me into the beta...

  • Aghhhh these things look so awesome! And now that TESO is first-person (though third-person looks better this time around, turn-based combat was my main problem with it) and apparently real-time combat based as well, it can't release soon enough!
  • This MMO looks better by the second. I'm so glad ZeiMax was smart enough not to use ALL of the series' assets in order to make this game, effectively putting a resounding halt on the main series like SW:TOR. As long as the MMO plays like a TES game (which I've heard from a lot of people that it does), this will be a first day purchase for me.
  • But now I want to play as these.

  • I don't like it, if you look at the morrowind ones then at these, they look way to different besides the scrib.

  • Why should we pay monthly for your game Bethesda, if mmos like Guild Wars 2 and Rift scrapped that outdated payment system and seem like way better options?
  • They look good but anything like kwamas, I pretty much prefer the original design rather than humanoid guards, the workers look more like nixhounds than kwama. The scrib looks like a nice redesign scrib XD
