The lights are on
With Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Namco Bandai wanted to give players the benefits of having played through a tutorial while making it considerably less dry. The result is Fight Lab, which can be seen in action via this new trailer.
Fight Lab is reminiscent of Soul Calibur's Mission Mode or Mortal Kombat's Challenge Tower, only you'll be building your own Combot character instead of merely unlocking concept art. The customizable bot can be upgraded and then used in matches outside of Fight Lab. As you can see below, the mode has plenty of room for crazy. Highlights include battles against eagles and chickens, a match where strikes remove a character's clothing, and the always popular fights where punches and kicks unleash showers of coins.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is set for a September release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a Wii U version to follow.

I once kicked a woman's clothes off. Didn't end well for me.
The weirdness is making me want to buy this game.
I'm not a fan of fighting games but this looks... interesting? I may get it.
Interesting for sure.
I was unstoppable with Eddie and armor jack.
As a member of the FGC, I'm really happy fighting games are getting more coverage.
The Snoop Dogg stage is what puzzles me the most.
I just hope they keep the character customization from 6. I customized every single character, my favorite being Heihachi the sun god.
That so lame (about Fight Lab)
I'm glad Namco is taking training in new directions. Hopefully, more fighting games implicate interesting training features as well.
Prob the best fighter this year
Ah Tekken Tag....The excitement I felt 12 years ago is coming back
