Strategy RPG Gathers Multiple Tales Characters Into One Game

Bandai Namco has released a trailer for its upcoming Tales all-star strategy RPG, Tales of the World: Reve Unitia.

You can check out the Japanese trailer below which highlights characters like Lloyd, Yuri, Milla, Ludger, and Julius – faces Tales fans will surely recognize. It's unclear if the 3DS game is coming to North America yet, but it will be available in Japan on October 23. If Project X Zone can make its way to North America, a game that seems somewhat similar, I'm sure this one has a chance.

  • Can we ask for a Vita port? This looks amazing, but I'm sure I'm far from the only person who does not own, nor has any desire to purchase, a 3DS.
  • Looks awesome. I do hope we get a US release.

  • Die handhelds die. Super Gameboy for my WiiU please and thank you.
  • Sigh... I'm just one of those wankrz. I don't care about what the Japanese have UNLESS I CAN HAVE IT! with at least subtitles. If I cant understand it and I'm never going to play I'd prefer not to know about it. I appreciate it makes good news, and I can't help myself wanting to know a bit about it. A US and EU release date and I'm interested, its torture knowing I may never be able to play this. *** you region lock and lack of linguistic skills.

  • hmm. hope they put it in early 2015 release (if they're gonna release in the US/EU)

  • this is awesome

  • This looks pretty neat.

  • If this game has stupid ass Collette but not Sheena in it I will not buy it. Sheena is the best.

  • We've already got Xillia 2 and Zesteria on the way... if Namco would just be nice enough to spoil us by bringing this over here, that would be wonderful~
  • Pass...unless there will be a console port in the future.

  • Mod

    Marvelous!

  • *throws money at screen* GIMME IT NOW!!!!!!!

  • To all those interested this is not a spam post nor am I trying to disrespect gameinformer.com. I have started a very small website for gaming news and discussion that I hope to one day grow into a very large awesome community. It is a community that is to be based on the end of the console wars. A site that Fan boys are not welcome and flame wars will not be allowed, a site that respects and gives credit to All Platforms and gamers of all sorts and types. I am looking for members to sign up and help grow my community. I am also looking for potential staff members who have a passion for Writing, Reviewing, sheer passion for gaming, moderating, and all sorts of roles and responsibilities. So if anyone is interested please come check out my page and if you think its something you would like please sign up and contact me. My site is www.All-Platform-Gaming.com

It is a work in progress and is a basic site right now but I have HUGE PLANS for it. I just need a community base and staff to help me in the journey. Thank you everyone for your time and hope to maybe see some of you around.

  • I REALLY hope this becomes available in the US--I love the Tales of series and it would be great to have more of the games brought over here.

  • I think they should focus on their main titles for the US. I'm not to interested in a mashup and I'm a Tales Fan. Unless the game is really good it's not going to do anything to increase rep.
  • I'm into Tales and I'm into Fire Emblem...looks like I'll be buying this one

  • I finally broke down and purchased the Collectors Edition of Tales of Vesperia for the PS3. I found the highly rated game to have a sub-par storyline, horrid character dialog, cheap and flimsy engine and a really easy to master battle system. I was very disappointed.
  • Please localize this! I love the Tales games and this would be an instant-buy!

  • I got into Vesperia and fell in love immediately. I hope Xbox gets some support from this in the future, but from what I understand it is pretty niche. It's one of the JRPGs I'd love to see more of, but unfortunately the Xbox fan base isn't too into JRPGs it seems.
  • Does Collette have to be in this? No one likes her, not even Japanese fans. Hopefully this gets a U.S. release, though. The 3DS needs something other than a straight port of Abyss.
