The lights are on
This is hands down the best fighting game I have ever played. Seriously. Beautifully rendered graphics set in a 2-d fighting environment that offers hours upon hours of quality entertainment. Yes, voice acting sucks. Yes, the stories told are lame. But the mechanics are sharp and engaging. The framerate is nice, the online fighting amazing (and I especially like the new tournament mode), and it’s an overall blast to master a characters moves. Did I mention its only $40? I do, however, advise the purchase of an arcade stick as the xbox controller is not incredibly functional with fighting games. With that aside, this is without a doubt the single best fighting game available on the market today. And all of this comes from a non-fighting game fan. Brilliant.
