This sequel to Super Smash Bros Melee that was released in 2001 surpasses it in Graphics, Sound, Replay Value, Entertainment, Unlockables, and more! The Fighters in this game come from the classic world of Super Mario to Metal Gear Solid's only Snake that will please a wide variety of players. Highly Detailed Interactive maps give you a reason to not only fight in the game but have fun with it too. The new story mode "Subspace Emissary" puts you in a war against the dark forces of Ganondorf and Bowser, two of Nintendo's popular villains. Newly added single player modes such as Boss Battles give you a chance to show your skills as you face the bosses you faced from the "Subspace Emissary". Tons of Unlockables give you a reason to come back for more since it has a VERY High replay value. Overall, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is in my book, the Greatest Wii Game of All Time.

<img src="http://www.gameinformer.com/aggbug.aspx?PostID=1629054" width="1" Brawl is incredible game because SSBB is first time story mode and awesome new characters. A massive yet surprisingly balanced character roster. My favorite character of SSBB is Snake (Metal Gear Solid series), Ike (I never play before), and Wolf (Star Fox series). Super Smash Bros. Brawl is really fun to fight with your friends or online. In story mode is about to save the world. Super Smash Bros. Brawl Reveiw

By The Dark Ninja

Let's start with the graphics. They mix beautiful character renditions with retroliciously pixelated assist trophys. Assist Trophys are little support characters you activate by picking up. The concept is an all out fight with all your favorite Nintendo characters in iconic ( and not so iconic) stages. There are rivals between characters, though. Like Sonic and Mario, per se. Its worth noting that not all characters are realistic. I am happy to say that a certain cell shaded, sword and sheild weilding, boomerang throwing character is in the mix too. It does get repetitive, but Smash Bros. has some tricks up his sleeve.

Final Verdict: If you have just a passive interest in Nintendo characters fighting each other, this is a MUST BUY.

<category term="Super Smash Bros.
Gameplay: The gameplay is perfect. You can fight with your friends on the Wii, fight online, and fight your friends online! You can even watch a Internet match that's happening LIVE. What can I say? This is the one of the best games I have ever played on a Nintendo console. That means that the gameplay is perfect. You really feel that urge to hit Luigi in the face with Link's sword! There is that feeling that makes you want to stand up and jump around while you're playing. I just find myself playing this over and over again becuase of that great feeling after you've knocked you're opponent of the screen.

Graphics: At first, I thought the graphics weren't good. For example: Mario looks darker than he would normally. But after getting used to the game, I got used to the graphics. And now I enjoy Mario looking darker, and looking at those Nintendogs I despise through an assist trophy.

Lasting Appeal: I could describe this in one sentence. I am now keeping my Wii until I die. Seriously, I will be loading this game into my Wii in 40 years. And beyond that. No other game has done it this well before. In terms of lasting appeal (and maybe gameplay), I think this is DA FIGHTING GAME. Or maybe even just DA GAME. Because the addiction of opening all the assist trophies (I don't want to spoil what it is, but assist trophies are one of the main items of the game) to get Waluigi to stomp your opponent into the ground and then smack your opponent in the face with a tennis racket just never gets old.

Sound: Great. Just great. The music on the stages are (usually) the same as the actual games, and I'm known to be a video game music lover. The sound effects of this game are spot-on, and I'm sort of glad that they didn't have a "Pain" sound effect. That would get annoying. Anyway, the sound "Exceeds Standards". And those standards have exceeded thier standards at the beginning of time. Or before that.

If you're on the fence of buying this game, just get it. It'll be REALLY worth it. It gives a real bang for your buck. So much in fact, the bang will start a brawl!

game guide reviews 4

great for everyone

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!

This game is, in virtually every way possible, awesome. The Stage Creator is a great gimmick, and the whole Subspace Emissary thing outstrips the standard adventure mode from SSB: Melee by a long shot. The addition of stickers and CDs to the list of unlockables, which, up to now, consisted of primarily trophies, is brilliant. The whole photo album thing is cool too-my favorite picture is Kirby staring at Groudon on the Halberd stage. yah!! thats how the final smash should last long! now moving on,boss battles look tight and target smash looked cool testing your speed, and home run contest looked nice,so sonic is still cool and nintendo likes to be friendly with sega and thats like the only nintendo game i ever bought because of sonic

Really Good

really good. nice controls exept for the side ways wii remote.nice graphics and sound track. probally the only flaw is how much content it has.its not a bad thing, its how much space it takes up in your wii. i had to delete like 3 games just to start the game. other than that, its a good game. a must have for wii owners,

The Best Game on Wii?

Super Smash Bros Melee is my favorite gamecube game, so I was really looking forward to Super Smash Bros Brawl. Brawl turned out to be a contender for best game on Wii. Super Smash Bros Brawl has the same formula that is in the other Super Smash Bros games. However, there are some key differences. There is a new item called a "smash ball". The smash ball is the Super Smash Bros equivelent of a "fatality". When your character gets a smash ball, he becomes way more powerful. Some characters change form when they get a smash ball, others get a unique weapon, and others have a strong new move. The smash ball changes the way the game works. If you get the smash ball you have a good chance to win the match, even if you're behind. Some people will like the change, others will hate it. Whether you like the change or not, you'll still love this game.

There are many returning characters, and many new characters. Unfortunately, some of the best characters from Melee do not return. The best new characters are Solid Snake, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pit. There is a new mode call the "subspace emissary". The subspace emissary is basically the game's story mode. The subspace emissary allows you to unlock characters a lot quicker. The downside to this is that it takes away some of the fun in unlocking the characters. I remember how cool it was when you would unlock a character in Melee. You can still unlock characters the same way you did in Melee, but it is easy to accidentally unlock them through the subspace emissary. While the subspace emissary isn't anything groundbreaking, it's nice to see a Smash Bros game get a story.

One of the most important feature in fighting games for this generation of consoles is the wifi matches. Like all other current fighting games, Brawl has wifi matches. Unfortunately, the online system isn't always the best, it sometimes has lag, and it can take a long time to get in a game. Even though it's not the best online game, you can have a lot of fun with the online play.

Super Smash Bros Brawl is one of the best games on the Wii. What sets it apart from other fighting games is that there is a character for everyone. Even the most casual gamer can find a character he/she likes. If you have ever played a First Party Nintendo game there will probably be at least one character you're familiar with.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is one of the best games on Wii and should not be missed.

Replay value

The third installment to the Super Smash Bros. series definitely had a pretty good campaign to it with may different twist and a decent back story, but after you beat it once there really is no point to going through it all again because nothing actually changes even if you play it on a harder difficulty. This game lets you play as many of the most famous Nintendo characters of all time. As you're going through it things happen to many of the characters so you get the chance to play as all of the different characters and see who you play the best as. I think that if they were to make another game for this series it would start turning into the Call of Duty games, just re-skinning the same general game and not coming out with anything new. The only thing that Nintendo could do would be to trade out characters for new ones but even that wouldn't do much for them.

Review: SSBB

My review is simple.
