The Second Galactic Adventure (Super Mario Galaxy 2)

Super Mario Galaxy.  Platforming and action...    IN SPACE!!!  The first Super Mario Galaxy was awesome.  This one hasn't changed much, but they improved on the overall appeal in some ways.  One of the biggest changes is the addition of Yoshi.  Now, I'm all for Yoshi running around in a 3D enviroment, eating stuff, and everything Yoshi is supposed to do, but everything else in this game feels exactly like the original.

Gameplay:  I'd say about 10 hours (estimating) of gameplay without all the Green Stars and stuff, which is great for a modern Super Mario game.  The Green Stars add a great amount of gameplay on top of the normal stars.  9/10 on gameplay.

Lasting Appeal:  The lasting appeal in this game is OK.  You can play through this a few times, but I doubt you will unless you're a "Mario Master" because that last star in the last galaxy in the last world (the Grandmaster Galaxy comet) is EXTREMELY hard.  5/10 on lasting appeal.

Graphics:  The graphics are above standards for the Wii.  The graphics improved slightly from the first one.   But they're great.  They don't push it much, but I like the graphics.  7.5/10 on graphics.

Sound:  I love the sound in this game.  The music is awesome, what galaxy is mostly known for (besides it's gravity).  The sound effects are also awesome.  It's like they have a sound effect for absolutely everything.  10/10 on sound.

Playability:  The playability is just great.  It feels like a TRUE 3D Mario game.  The exact opposite of the 2D Mario games.  But that isn't nessisarily a bad thing.  The only thing that I don't like about the playability in this game is the bird flying game in two galaxies.  That is just plain horrible.  8.5/10 on gameplay.  The bird thing took away an entire 1.5 points!

Controls:  The controls feel good.  I like the shaking idea that Nintendo focuses on in this game.  This game is all about shaking the Wii Remote.  Move and shake.  I don't think they've overdone the shaking, surprisingly.  9/10 on controls.

Overall Appeal:  You'll get all the appeal you want in this game.  This game feels just plain great, overall.  I found myself playing this game over and over again.  Except for that 1 LAST STAR!!!  Anyway, your appeal will get based here!

Overall Rating: 9.5/10 (95% good)

This game doesn't feel much different from the first game when you first start it up, but I suggest this game over the first one because of the extended fun.  You'll see what I mean if you play this.  I can't really explain that.  This game is so fun, you'll get carried away to another galaxy!
